Safaricom Ethiopia would like to invites competent and qualified candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: VAS and Digital Product Specialist

Qualifications:

• .A Degree in a business or technical discipline
• .A minimum of 3 years proven track record in account and relationship management
• .Knowledge on the Product Lifecycle Management.
• .Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and high level of self-drive and energy
• .Problem solving skills and decision-making guided by a customer experience focus.
• .Knowledge of stake holder engagement and project management within cross functional teams.

Position 2: Secure by Design Manager

Job Requirements

• .Degree in Information Security/Computer Forensics/Computer Science/Information Technology or other relevant Technical Degree.
• .Information security certifications e.g. CEH /CISSP /CISM /CISA /GIAC /CPTP /OSCP.
• Advanced Networking certifications: .CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCIE are also preferred.
• Certifications in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
• .Demonstrate competency in the use and administration of ethical hacking tools e.g. .KALI Linux, Metasploit, Nexpose, Nessus, Nmap, BurpSuite etc…
• .Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Information Systems Security –e.g. Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments, Pre-and-Post Implementation System Reviews, etc.
• .Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Web and Mobile applications development e.g. Java, Python, PHP, Javascript, CSS, Apache, Nginx, IIS etc
• .Working knowledge of databases e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB, Post gress etc will be an added advantage.
• .Working knowledge of Virtualization & Microservices technologies e.g. VMware, Open shift, Kubernetes, Docker etc will be an added advantage.
• .Working knowledge and experience in DevSecOps tegies and practices i.e. Jenkins, Jira, Github, Gitlab etc will be an added advantage.
• .Working knowledge of Mobile and GSM technologies e.g. Android, IOS, 2G, 3G, LTE, USSD etc will be an added advantage.
• .Excellent communication skills and a good team player.

Position 3: Senior Accountant – AP

Job Requirements

• .Business related bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least CGPA of 3.5 and above.
• .Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
• .Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Position 4: Project Leader

Job Requirements

• .Degree in engineering or technical business management
• .Min 3 years of same position experience
• .Extensive MS Office skills especially on excel and power point.

Position 6: IP Specialist: Transmission Network Assurance

Job Requirements

• .Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Higher National Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications.
• .5 years’ experience with 3 years specialized role in a busy telecommunications environment –Involved in Transmission and IP Network operations, design, planning, installations /commissioning, and projects especially in IP/MPLS Networks support.
• .Working knowledge and experience in various transmission network technologies and integration with E2E IP Networks.
• .Knowledge of software defined networking principles.
• .Knowledge of network scripting / programming languages e.g., Python
• .Computer literate – Able to create management reports and use project management tools
• .Analytical skills, Attention to details, Communication and interpersonal skills, Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills & Project management Skill.
• .Interprets business technology strategy and trends to identify current and future network maintenance requirements.
• .Defines internal standards, reference framework and processes for maintaining the transmission/IP network.
• .Uses a range of research and data analysis techniques to identify all key system requirements that have an impact on .transmission/IP network maintenance.
• Translates data into insights that identify opportunities and highlights threats to optimal and timely network maintenance.
• .Be able to assess / explore new technology options and advise on appropriate adoption so as to meet business requirements.
• .Engage internal and external stakeholders in discusions on the new options and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• .Able to deliver independently and as part of a team.
• .Works collaboratively. Builds and maintains strong relationships and networks.
• Communicates with simplicity and clarity to technical and non technical teams.
• .Provides leadership and Technical expertise and should be able to influence the decision making processes.
• .Able to mentor / train new / junior / other collegues in this area of expertise.

Position 7: Specialist – OSS and Network Automation Strategy & Architecture

Job Requirements:

• .Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics engineering/Computer Science/IT
• .In-depth and practical understanding of OSS and automation cutting across all network domains
• .Broad, diverse experience and/or knowledge of major network and supporting technologies (legacy to emerging e.g., 5G, NFV/SDN, cloud, Big Data, security, and Analytics etc.) across various domains
• .Well versed with SDN Architecture and APIs and further TM forum’s open digital architecture
• .Well versed with programming languages e.g., python to drive automation
• .Exhibit a passion for technology and have a thirst to continually learn and keep pace with the accelerating change across multiple technologies and solutions
• .At least 5 years of experience in Network/IT Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, Operating Models, and operational transformation
• .At least 5 years of experience writing and/or analyzing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, or IT transformation
• .Cross-Domain knowledge in networks is critical with an understanding of how new technologies can drive value to the business
• .At least 3 years of experience improving the business value of technology
• .At least 2 years of experience leading teams including planning/structuring analytical work and facilitating team workshops
• .Broad technical expertise combined with business acumen and strong consulting skills.

Position 8: Specialist, Cloud and Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture

Job Requirements:

• .Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics engineering/Computer Science/IT
• .Practical understanding of Telco networks across the data center (OSS/BSS), network core, edge and into the RAN as well as virtualization, big-data, security, data storage, private cloud and hyper-converged solutions, as well as the solution’s value when mapped to business needs.
• .Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major network technologies (legacy to emerging e.g., 5G, NFV/SDN, cloud, Big Data and Analytics etc.) across various domains
• .Exhibit a passion for technology and have a thirst to continually learn and keep pace with the accelerating change across multiple technologies and solutions
• .At least 5 years of experience in Network/IT Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, Operating Models, and operational transformation

Position 9: Talent Acquisition Manager

Job Requirements

• Degree in Human Resource Management or any other relevant business degree
• 4+ years work experience in a busy HR environment in a large commercial organization with at least 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition
• Certification in psychometric testing preferably SHL
• Exposure to talent analytics and talent management approaches coupled with good numeracy skills.
• Excellent and demonstrable interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of key business functions and .how they interrelate to achieve business objectives.
