Position 1: Customer Service Supervisor
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Open and administer the Primary Vault dually with the Branch Manager and solely administer Secondary Vault.
- Initiate cash consignments to/from Treasury by maintaining the established cash holding limit of the Branch, supply cash against signature to the cashier for the day’s operations and make the necessary replenishments.
- Receive, verify, lodge and withdraw cash to/from Primary and Secondary Vault and post transactions related to cash deposit/withdrawal to/from the vault in the System
- Open and assign till for Customer Services Officers, and control their Till limits.
- Collect/deliver cash from/to the Customer Service Officers.
- Authorize the transfer of cash from Vault to Till and from Till to Vault.
- Takes run-up of each daily cash ticket and balance same against cash on hand and against the system
- Close Tills at the close of Business and breaks, and check and confirm overall cash balance.
- Manage cash areas and customer inquiries on cash activity.
- Assist CSOs in handling and counting bulk cash deposits/withdrawals.
- Follow up and monitor daily activities of customer service operations.
- Assist customer service staff with duties where required.
- Train staff in areas of customer service and company policies.
- Manage cashier coverage and customer flow to ensure proficient customer service.
- Monitor and authenticate returns, exchanges and voids.
- Investigate and solve customer service complaints.
Oversee and assess customer service staff activities, and provide them with regular performance-related feedback.
Job Requirements
Educational and Professional Requirements
- BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management and related fields.
- 2 years of banking experience

Position 2: Main Cashier
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sufficient clerical, bookkeeping, and administrative cash-handling experience
- Ability to maintain a balance of large bulk of currency constantly
- Ability to maintain confidential information, thereby safeguarding the bank’s integrity
- Ability to execute assigned duties effectively with a proper understanding of both verbal and written directives
- Ability to tolerate stress
- Adequate customer service orientation and experience.
- Establish an exciting and welcoming affair for prospective clients upon entering the bank
- Supervise debit, credit or cash transactions, as well as other forms of payments within the bank
- Review cash accounts daily
- Supply clients with relevant information on products and services available in the bank
- List all promotions and relay them to customers
Resolve customer issues pertaining to products and services.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- BA Degree in Economics, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Management, or any other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Branch operation in the Banking industry, of which at least 1 year as a cashier.

Position 3: Teller
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pays cash to all types of transactions within his/her limit
- Attend customers at the counter properly and with due respect
- Process customers’ account opening and perform cross-selling activities of banks products
- Scan customers’ and authorized staff’s signatures and photograph
- Receive cash from all types of transactions within the branch
- Post all types of business transactions
- Prepare cash and non-cash tickets/instrument
- Process clearance of negotiable instrument
- Collect and deliver cash from and to the ‘Till’ Administrator.
- Receive and pay cash from customers after proper identification, verification and posting transactions.
- Perform account opening and closing, Standing orders, Amendments, refunds, and Revokes.
- Prepare and issue chequebooks and passbooks and provide bank statements for customers at request.
- Check and countersign vouchers, process standing instructions, and accept stop payment orders from
- Customers and obtain supervisor approval.
- Send outward cheques to Head Office and perform special (RTGS) and bulk cheque clearance activities.
- Assist customers at the counter in filling out forms, opening new accounts, transferring forms, and collecting payments.
- Exchange notes and coins for customers, and sort, arrange and wrap notes by denominations in bundles of hundreds.
- Sort daily tickets, take run-ups to check against summary total, check and balance physical cash with the Branch Till Administrator, and journalize daily transactions.
- Collect and validate Original Payment Instruments against the System, collect a deposit of cheques and other financial instruments, and prepare and issue Payment Instruments.
- Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing.
- Identify and review accounts to be closed, receive a request to close the account and follow steps within the system prompts to close the account and bring it to a zero balance to get the account flagged as closed.
- Receive customer complaints or inquiries, resolve the issue within one’s scope of authority or answer queries, and refer unresolved customer grievances to the Customer Service Supervisor for further investigation.
- Educate customers about the Bank’s products whenever opportunities allow for this and without damaging service delivery performance.
- Record potential sales leads and refer or route them to an account manager/relationship manager.
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- B.A Degree in Economics, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Management, or any other related fields.
- Minimum of 2(two) years’ experience in Branch banking.
Workplace: Addis Ababa
Position 4: Branch Manager
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the overall activities of the branch.
- Identify and recruit potential customers and provide professional advice.
- Motivate and coach the staff.
- Develop and implement service delivery plan and programs to optimize service excellence and customer experience in the branch.
- Ensure proper compilation of information for loan and foreign currency request and submission of the same to the appropriate organ for further processing and approval.
- Coordinate the marketing efforts of the branch and also regulate the branch brand usage to the bank standard.
- Manage customer service levels against customer expectations.
- Check and sign the daily cash book jointly with customer service supervisor.
- Measure branch staff’s operational performance periodically and support branch staffs on developing, managing and growing customer relationships.
- Rectify discrepancies and comments reported by internal Auditors timely.
- Handle correspondences and represent the Bank in social and official affairs.
- Keep dual control of petty cash and vault keys of the branch.
- Ensure compliance and monitoring is in place in accordance with rules, regulations and standards of regulatory organ and policies and procedures of the bank.
- Counter sign ticket originated within the branch and approves any kind of petty payments within the branch.
- Ensure effective and proper utilization of resources with cost consciousness & avoid unnecessary wastages.
Work with Director-Branch Operations in establishing customer service, operational and business objectives for the Branch.
