Shabelle Bank S.C would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Junior Developer Officers
Qualifications:
B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or Information Science or Information Systems or Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Engineering or Information Technology and related fields, with 1 year as an IT trainee.
Strong database skills (SQL & NoSQL) with a deep understanding of data modeling and optimization.
Advanced API development and integration skills (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).
Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity practices and secure coding standards.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Senior Government Affairs Officer-Internal/External
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in political science, Public Policy / Public Administration, International Relations, and other related fields. With 5 years of experience of engagement and liaison with regional government offices.
LANGUAGE: (indicate fluency level)
Fluent in written and spoken English
Knowledge of Amharic, Afan Oromo and Somali is an additional advantage
Technical / Role-Specific Competencies:
Strong understanding of government structures, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
Knowledge of banking operations, products, and financing processes.
Effective liaison and advocacy skills with government bodies.
Report preparation, documentation, and compliance management.
Location: Jijiga Head Office with frequent travel to Addis Office
Position 3: Corporate Customer Relation Mgt Manager
Qualification:
Master’s Degree/BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting or other Business-related fields with 4/6 years of banking operation experience, of which 2 years as a senior officer role in the branch banking area.
Location: Addis Ababa
