Shabelle Bank is a fully licensed Commercial Bank in Ethiopia to conduct all its operations under the principles of Islamic banking and be fully disengaged from interest-based transactions, offering the full spectrum of Retail Banking, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, and Trade Finance Services.

Shabelle Bank would like to recruit competent applicants to fill the following vacant positions.

Position 1: Cheque Clearance Clerk

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance

Work Experience: No experience required (entry-level).

Specialized Knowledge: Computer proficiency.

Duty station: Addis Ababa,

Position 2: Cash Dispatcher/Teller

Required Qualification: Diploma or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration or related field.

Work Experience: Entry level (No experience required).

Duty station: Addis Ababa,

Position 3: Reconciliation Officer

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance

Work Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience

Specialized Knowledge: Understanding of the Banking sector and principles of accounting practice.

Duty station: Addis Ababa,

Position 4: Cheque Clearance and Automatic Transfer System (ATS) Officer

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance

Work Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience

Specialized Knowledge: Understanding of the Banking sector and principles of accounting practice

Duty station: Addis Ababa,

Position 5: Chief Cashier

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required

Work Experience: Four (4) years in finance or accounting with cash management experience.

Treasury workstation and bank software experience a plus
Prior banking operations experience

Duty station: Jigjiga, Head Office, Somali

Position 6: Senior Cash Operation Officer

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field required

– MBA preferred

Work Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Bank and familiarity with Treasury Operations

Accounting or financial analysis.
Supervisory experience.

Experience with Treasury Workstations preferred
Duty station: Jigjiga, Head Office, Somali
