Shemu Group would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Operation Head – Transport

Detail Responsibilities:

  • Advising on policy and strategic developments and examining business decisions (pricing policy, level of service provision, timetable changes) to assess their impact on passengers;
  • Marketing passenger services to encourage greater passenger use of particular routes and methods of transport;
  • Meeting passengers and customers to deal with complaints and areas of concern;
  • Analyzing results of surveys on passenger/customer satisfaction and starting new projects to improve performance;
  • Making sure that transport services are available to all through social inclusion initiatives;
  • Using IT systems for tasks such as timetabling and managing usage flows.
  • Liaising and negotiating with different stakeholders including Transport authorities, residents, councilors/City administrators, developers and transport providers;
  • Identifying existing and possible future transport problems, developing transport models and investigating the feasibility of alternative means of transport;
  • Ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance with laws and regulations, particularly relating to health and safety;
  • Managing and supervising staff, organizing work shift rotas and coordinating staff training;
  • Negotiating and managing contracts and developing new business opportunities whenever possible;
  • Making sure the transport operation meets its performance and safety targets, monitoring it and reporting to senior management;
  • Writing clear reports and presenting options and recommendations to senior management;
  • Minimizing disruption and resolving any unscheduled delays, having to make decisions in difficult situations;

Job Requirements

Qualification:

  • Degree in automotive, auto mechanics and related fields in addition management education is a plus
  • 5+ years in related ride service company in Operation Head or related role.
  • Experience in the transportation industry.

Position 2: Call Center Supervisor

Main duties and responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Supervisor is managing a team of call center workers would vary from center to center, but some of the general duties and responsibilities that make up the job description are shown in details below.

Detail duties and responsibilities:

  • Be in charge of running and managing the call center daily
  • Schedule and organize shift patterns for other team members to ensure that customers are never left unattended to
  • Understand all organization’s products, services, procedures and guidelines and communicate same to all team members
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets for the call center
  • Monitor all calls to ensure that due procedures and quality standards are strictly adhered to
  • Facilitate and organize training session for all agents and participate in recruitment of new call center agents
  • Recommend and purchase gadgets to enhance job performance at the call center
  • Conduct regular review of all call center agents’ performance and organize training sessions for under performers
  • Submit regular reports to management and seek new ideas and strategies to improve performance at the center
  • Keep up with trends and happenings in the industry and ensuring adherence to industry standards
  • Ensure that clients are kept happy and satisfied at all times by providing prompt response and solutions to their challenges at all times
  • Ensure a safe and harmonious working environment for all other team members and delegate duties to all team members.
  • Set targets for all other call center agents to meet up with

Qualifications:

BA degree in Sales and Marketing, Business management or any other related fields.

2 years experience as team leader or supervisor position.

Skills:

  • Basic Computer Skill
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good presentation and training skills.
  • Familiar with call center job and systems.

Position 3: IT Specialist

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and maintenance or troubleshooting, installation and configuration of servers, PCs, Laptops, Photocopy machine, UPS, Printers, Scanners and other equipment.
  • Installs, maintains, and upgrades hardware, software, networking components and monitors LAN and existing IT infrastructure & systems and takes appropriate corrective measures.
  • Installs and tests software updates, antivirus and patch programs to support various applications and various desktop and laptop computers for Corporate Office.
  • Ensures system security and performs or follows up critical data backup regularly(when the need arise)
  • Ensures effective communication system like email, data sharing portals etc are in place and administers and provides support for Corporate Office.
  • Provides support for on-the-job training by his/her immediate superior to users to support the use of ERP Microsoft 365 in the organization.
  • Ensures Corporate Office staff to effectively communicate with Dire Dawa and other regional office through the support of IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain updated IT equipment inventory and responsible for follow up and implementation of IT policies and procedures in the Corporate Office.
  • Responsible for administering client/server-based network infrastructure and mission critical applications.
  • Responsible for network management and administration including development and implementation of wiring/wireless configuration standards, connectivity solutions, overall network operating systems, server hardware administration/configurations, virtual server administration and management, network file systems, active directory structure and LAN/WAN system integrity and security.
  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of network hardware and software and data center management, data backup.
  • Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure through Access control, back up and firewall systems.
  • Makes sure ERP system is operational 24/7 in Corporate System.
  • Ensure mobile and other communication platforms are working and make adjustment when the need arise.
  • Carry out related activities as and when required.

Job Requirements

BSc. degree in Information Technology or Computers science and  2+ years related experience or

Diploma in Information Technology or Computers science and 4+ years related experience.

Additional soft and hard skills:

  • Very high train-ability and learning interest.
  • Very strong interest to grow professionally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Literate in use of ERP package (Like Microsoft Nav).
  • Working experience in manufacturing sector is preferable.
