United Beverages Share Company would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Inbound Logistics Manager – Re Advertised

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Implement and develop logistics and custom clearance strategies
  • Develop capable third-party transporter for the assigned division
  • Prevent delays/queues at brewery/warehouses through logistics planning and truck allocation together with the distribution manager.     
  • Assure neatness/representative look of company-owned fleet and drivers
  • Guarantee 0 preventable downtime in truck operations by arranging backup trucks.
  • Track and document service requirements and tire and fuel usage. Work with the fleet manager for frequent maintenance of company-owned primary transport.
  • Monitor trip durations and develop ‘ideal’ trip duration goals for supply from the factory to various locations in the assigned division.
  • Track, check, and approve overtime payments to truck drivers.
  • In charge of all aspects of the business including rate negotiations, vendor relations, and vendor analysis plus will be responsible for all modes of transport and international logistics.
  • Collect and check the original shipping documents from the Procurement department for submission to Customs and make sure all documents are available before the arrival of goods at the port.
  • Responsible for verifying dates of shipment & inspection, receiving pre-production samples, approval of the packaging, payment procedure, and handling all shipment documentation.
  • Follow up with the freight forwarder to get original B/L & delivery orders, freight invoices, etc.
  • Prepare authorization to clear agents and customs authorities to clear shipments.
  • Follow up with our clearing agents on the status of all shipments under clearance and report it to the Procurement Manager on daily basis.
  • Prepare undertaking documents / Shipping guarantees to customs authorities in case of document shortage or delay and follow up with the clearing agents to close it.
  • Request for payment for clearing agents and advance payment for high-value shipments.
  • Follow up with clearing agents until the arrival of goods at our warehouse.
  • Control of the transportation budget
  • Minimize/eliminate the demurrages
  • Insure having more than one third-party transporter
  • Insure having at least 2 reliable forwarders
  • Review and approve shipment documentation before shipping from the supplier to avoid any delays in the shipments

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills 

  • At least a BA degree in supply chain/logistics/accounting 
  • At least 4 years of experience in a busy Manufacturing setting (FMCG experience is a plus).
  • Background in logistics/supply chain/procurement/warehouse-related operations
  • Experience/fluent with company resource management systems (ERP/SAP)
  • Fluent in English
  • Sociable/good communicator          
  • Highly advanced computer skills, especially with regard to Excel  
  • Investigative nature/good with numbers

Position 2: MT- Electrician

Job Description

•  Always operate a‹ d Maintain according to brewery and loca! safety rules, standards procedures

•  Consistently use all mandatory personal and collective protective equipment

• Report all accidents and incidents

• Ensure all the products in each production phase are at the required quality by ensuring the machine is at its basic condition

• Strictly follow the ISO 8nd HACCAP procedures, quality interna1 standards any other local regulations

• independently operate and maintain machines In order to sustain and further improve resource quality parameters.

•Work in a teams ‹›r independently as required

•Report on equipment failures/breakdowns/inefficiencies

•Show ownership of the workplace by initiating improvement activities

•Record information in order to take established and known corrective action

» Ensures the collection of data and Its .accuracy and integrity

• Execute the basic maintenance tasks according to applicable standards

•Execute maintenance activities, prioritize work and organizes/ mobilizes resources to overcome problems in day-to-day operations•                     

– Execute maintenance plan and st8ndards based on suppliers’ recommendation in SAP

– Support RCA/Root cause analysis when necessary

• Discuss problems and maintenance work with Operations and promotes proper machine testing and takeover

Uses TPM basic tools and methods within area of responsibility and ensures compliance (e.g.. CILT, SS)

Job Requirements

BA Degree in Electrical engineering or related fields

At least 3 years of experience in FMCG

Position 3: Tax Officer – Re Advertised

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure taxes are reported and tax payments are settled in a timely manner and in accordance with country regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations of Ethiopia and local municipalities.
  • Investigate new tax laws and develop tax reduction initiatives.
  • Identify issues that may arise in tax dealing.
  • Organize quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
  • Record keeping of foreign income tax filings.
  • Maintain proper filing for all relevant proclamations, regulations, directives, and other documents.
  • Act as a liaison officer to the tax office
  • Ensure robust and efficient tax planning and filing with the relevant bodies.
  • Keep the confidentiality of financial information.
  • Being punctual and security follows the office discipline of the organization.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the department.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills

  • BA in Accounting and related.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Higher education in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Previous experience in a similar position in a big corporation for at least 3 years

Position 4: Warehosue Manager

Job Description:

  • Maintain minimum full stock levels at company standards for WH’s and depots and keep empty crate levels at absolute minimum.            
  • Assure clear working schedules/hours per WH/depot in consultation with local staff.      
  • Guarantee presence of enough and competent depot supervisors to have zero delay caused to sales.
  • Rotate flying depot supervisors on quarterly schedule.                                                       
  • Ensure 100% use of ERP by WH staff and have backup Excel sheet present in all WH’s at all times. Keep detailed overview of outages.
  • Ensuring proper office space in all WH’s/depots with sufficient space & working equipment for WM’s, DO’s and cashier
  • Track and report inventory levels daily, Share daily, monthly WH movement reports
  • Physical stock count in all WH’s to be reconciled with ERP/Excel sales.
  • Monthly reconciliation of WH sales with ERP/finance records, investigate + solve discrepancies accordingly. Assure all warehouse related transactions are captured on time in SAP                                                                                                         
  • Daily sales + stock report on all WH’s depots to management.                               
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of all WH and depot staff in the assigned division.
  • Implement and continuously follow up on standard operating procedures in all WH`s and depots in the assigned division.
  • Training and staffing of all depots and WH`s in the assigned division.
  • Ensure Trucks are loaded on time in full as per the sales order.
  • Determine and track important warehouse KPIs.

Job Requirements

  • At least BA degree in supply chain/logistic/accounting 
  • At least 4 years of experience in busy Manufacturing setting (FMCG experience is a plus).
  • Background in logistics/supply chain/procurement/warehouse-related operations
