VisionFund Micro-Finance Institution S.C would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Junior E-Banking Officer

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide  technical support for internal staffs and customers,
  • Periodically identifies gaps and takes corrective measures on E-Banking systems
  • Participate on implementation, enhancement and support of E-Banking systems
  • Participate on implementation of remaining E-Banking products/services
  • Follow up correction of any system errors identified by customers and branches,
  • Ensure approved correct formats are used for account opening,
  • Provide Users training E-Banking Products / Services
  • Ensures that proper changes are made in E-Banking systems configuration and parameters,
  • Provide support and timely feedback on customer complaints relating to all Digital financial services
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Manager of Digital banking Services Division

 A)  EDUCATION/TRAINING

BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related field.

B)  EXPERIENCE

0 – 2 Years of experience

C)   TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Ability to work with very minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skill
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Proactive and result-oriented
  • Exposure to the electronic payment systems in Ethiopia
  • Excellent understanding of Digital Financial Services Platform
  • High level of analytical and creative skills
  • Excellent written and report writing skills in English;
  • Understanding of digital channels operations and services
  • Excellent complaint handling skills.

Position 2: Marketing and Communication Division Manager

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that market research and market survey are conducted and competitors weaknesses, strengths, response patterns relative to VF MFI are identified;
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitors.
  • Analyses the data collected and processes it into information, which would help for making informed decisions;
  • Keeps monitoring the market and ensures the communication of new developments, information and marketing intelligence to the CEO, DCEOs, concerned Departments and staff;
  • Develop marketing strategies and plans aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Determine optimal marketing channels and campaigns to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Develop brand guidelines and ensure they are adhered to in all marketing materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate brand perception and make recommendations for brand enhancement.
  • Plan, execute, and measure marketing campaigns across various channels (online, offline, social media, etc.).
  • Create compelling marketing content, including web copy, blog articles, social media posts, etc.
  • Collaborate with creative teams and external agencies to develop marketing collateral.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Manage and optimize the organization’s online presence, including websites and social media accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, articles, and other communication materials.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company during media interactions or public events.
  • Manage crisis communication and handle media inquiries.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

2 .Qualification and experience Requirements

A) EDUCATION/TRAINING

MB/MBA/BA in Marketing Management, Business Management, Economics or relevant field.

B) EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 7/9 years of relevant experience, preferably in MFI.

C) TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Proven experience in marketing and communication roles, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

3. WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED

Office environment: typical office based with frequent field trips

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Treasury Division Manager (Re-advertisement)

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1.1. Treasury Activities

  • Analyzing financial markets to identify trends in interest rates, inflation rates, or other factors that may affect VisionFund MFIs earnings or capital requirements;
  • Analyze liquidity position of VisionFund MFI utilizing various techniques such as cash flow forecast, maturity gap analysis, financial ratios and a variety of ‘what if’ scenarios;
  • Compare and contrast the actual performance vis-à-vis the forecast and report to the ALCO; periodically;
  • Responsible for understanding, managing, and supervising all aspects of liquidity ratios in accordance with VF MFI expectations and best practices;
  • Ensure monthly ALCO/ALM report is prepared & communicated and ensure timely ALCO Committee meeting is held;
  • Assess the maturity of Assets and Liabilities and aging of accounts receivable & Accounts payable and settlement accordingly;
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions to ensure that VF MFI has an adequate supply of funds available when needed and to secure favorable interest rates;
  • Advise Finance & Accounts Department, Management and take an active role in developing long-term and short-term investment and funding needs strategies;
  • Monitor investments and borrowings to ensure that adequate liquidity is available to meet withdrawal demands and the growth of loans and investments;
  • Ensure funds in excess of liquidity and reserve requirements are monitored;
  • Ensure the management of settlement risk;
  • Plans and executes supply of funds to and off-take of funds from branches and submits periodic reports;
  • Regularly review and recommend in order to sets branches’ cash holding limits, standing instructions and signatory limit and ensure compliance with the limits;
  • Ensure excess cash holdings are promptly deposited to the MFIs bank account or if any unmanageable reported to Treasure Division Manager;
  • Monitor the fulfillment of the MFIs and statutory reserve and liquidity requirements and ensures that always as per expectation & required;
  • Advise & recommend short term investment opportunities for excess liquidity proactively;
  • Ensure that periodic liquidity reports are submitted to management & ALCO committee;
  • Make analysis of the maturity distribution and the amount of funds that will be available;
  • Ensure sufficient funds is available to meet maturing payment obligations and when applicable – ATM and payment & settlement account for digital payments;
  • Recommend to open and close bank accounts. Administer all bank accounts, including new accounts, new signers and maintain clear records internally;
  • Review for authenticity and accuracy the request and release of bank transfer requests;
  • Ensure reports on the status of VF MFI cash flow forecasting, actual cash flows and liquidity position are prepared in order to measure the performance of VF MFI treasury function by linking with financial position, profitability, cash flow and capital structure;
  • Ensure all internal policies & procedures and Government laws & regulations related to Treasury management are implemented accordingly;
  • Regularly review and maintain treasury policies & procedures and recommend on need of policy changes to investment, liquidity management, interest rate risk, cash forecasting strategy and etc. based on market/business conditions and ensure proper cash management systems are in place to maximize efficiencies;

1.2. Staff Management

  • Manages, supervises, leads, guides and supports the staff of the Treasury & Budget Division;
  • Ensures the development of key technical skills of direct subordinates to increase their capacity to develop and undertake major initiatives and assume larger responsibilities to further expand operational impact and sustainability;
  • Completes all performance management activities including: performance planning, monitoring, and performance appraisals of staff reporting to him/her
  • Regularly mentor and coach subordinates to develop capacity based on evaluation

1.3. Reporting and Others

  • Submits periodic reports to the Accounts and Finance Department Director on the work of the Treasury function as stated above, but not limited;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director, Finance & Accounts Department

Job Requirements

  • MA/MBA/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields.
  • •Minimum of 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in treasury management, preferably within the financial services industry, preferably banks.
  • In-depth knowledge of cash management, liquidity management, risk management, and financial instruments.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, interest rates, and foreign exchange.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
  • Experience in a managing teams/unit
  • Experience in delivering high standard/quality of service and timely report

  • Comprehensive knowledge of data collection and evaluation techniques

Position 4: Executive Assistant to the CEO (Re – Advertisement)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Streamlining Operations: Helps in streamlining operations and improving internal control in key areas such as effective management, leadership, organizational development, and coordination of different departments.
  • Policy Development: Supports the Chief Executive Officer in the development and coordination of policy matters within the organization.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinates and arranges executive and senior management meetings, prepares agendas, take minutes and provides updates to the Chief Executive Officer on the status of implementation.
  • Written Communication: Responsible for composing, editing, and completing first drafts of guidelines, manuals, policies, proposals, circulars, terms of references, and other written communications.
  • Report Review: Edit and review reports and proposals before submitting them to the Board.
  • Document Preparation: Provides support to the Chief Executive Officer in the preparation of various documents.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written an MA/MBA/BA in Business Management or related fields
  • A minimum of 7/9 years of work experience relating the position.

Technical and other skills:

  • Proficient in computer (MS word, Excel, Power Point) and Internet browsing skills.
  • Good written and spoken English languages.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately.
  • Well-developed organizational skills.

  • Proficient in report writing.
