Position 1: Project Coordinator

Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification

Degree in Public health/Health service administration/health sciences or related fields

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 5 years work experiences for MA/MPH or 7 years for a bachelor’s degree with progressive work experience in managing multi sector projects
  • Experience working in Emergency Response settings in senior management team
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English required
  • Proven ability to give effective and engaging presentations Strong, interpersonal, communication, networking and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to meet frequent and competing deadlines while maintaining technical quality
  • Experience in the management of field based program and research activities.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and good understanding of both National and International Humanitarian response protocols and implementation guidelines.

Position 2: Emergency WASH Officer

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

BSC in Water resource Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Health, Public Health or related fields

Required Professional Experience

  • 2 years for MSC or 4 years for BSc on relevant project/program experience of WASH in an international NGO or similar organization.
  • Solid experience in WASH Project Design, supervision, analysis and report write up, Experience in WASH Cluster engagement has an added value.
  • Experience in using word, excel and other software skills is an asset

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications ​

  • Experience on Community Engagement and Cooperation
  • Experience with emergency WASH activities
  • Full computer and Internet skills including MS Office for word processing, ACCESS or other databases and in database design, graphic presentation and financial spreadsheet programs,
  • Fluent in oral and written English and local language is advantageous.

Position 3: Gender Based Violence Case Manager

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

University degree in Psychology, sociology and related social science fields

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of work experience out of which 1 year in supervisory/managing protection project in emergency context.
  • Experience in leading/coordinating WGFS in emergency project is required.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing emergency response projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in application of international technical guidelines and standards in response projects coordination is preferred.
  • Experience and proved good communication skills, management skills

Position 4: Gender Based Violence Case Worker

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

University degree in social work, sociology , psychology , public health and relevant field of social sciences

Required Professional Experience

  • A minimum of one two years experience in child protection, Gender-based violence and related areas, program/project development and management in emergency context is required.
  • Direct case management and experience working with children, women and adolescents is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience on Gender Based Violence programming including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) an asset.
  • Extensive training in the fields of CP/GBV, psycho-social wellbeing, case management and application of international technical guidelines and standards in Child Protection and GBV.
  • Language Requirements written and spoken English as well as in local languages

Required Professional Experience

  • Seven years of experience in a relevant human resources professional role.

  • Experience managing people and talent with an International NGO.
  • Proven ability to use networks to identify and target talent for key staff recruitment.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Position 6: Area Program Coordinator

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Work Experience: a minimum of 3 years experience with regards to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising and reporting on integrated development, emergency and advocacy projects and at least 2 years’ experience in managing complex grants and programs/projects with significant experience in overseeing large multi-year program.

Preferred: Working experience in community development.

  • Minimum Qualification required: BA/B.Sc. Degree in Development Studies. An advanced degree in Social Sciences related to development work is preferred. Master’s degree is an advantage.

Other Competencies/Attributes

  • Computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision.
  • Able to contextualize development models in an innovative way.
  • Be rooted and able to form a connection to the community – and must demonstrate passion for living and working in the ADP area.
  • Be empowerment focused as opposed to service delivery.
  • Able to engage religious leaders of all faiths by mobilizing them to promote holistic development.
  • Experience in working with donor funds, sponsorship operations and grants funding.
  • Working knowledge of disaster management, emergency preparedness, monitoring and evaluation, sphere standards are added advantage.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and other stakeholders.
