World Vision Ethiopia would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following different position.

Position 1: – Project Officer

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the planning and implementation of both JEOP activities of woreda by closely working with program team, commodity staff and stakeholders at woreda level.
  • Both JEOP activities will be performed on time and with its schedule and smart achievement can be met
  • Ensure the best management of food commodities as per the minimum commodity management standards by communicating and acting with commodity team at head office and woreda level.
  • The warehouse materials requirements provision and fulfilment were ensured. Warehouses in need of repair/renovation will be maintained and findings closed. Capacity building activities done on the warehouse staffs (Storekeepers and Stock controllers) on warehouse management (Store management, recordings, documentation)
  • Lead the planning and implementation of food distribution to project participants in a timely manner and to the best standard required by closely working with the commodity team at head office, regional and woreda level
  • All JEOP programmatic and operational activities planning done in timely manner in close collaboration with other team members. Trust and stewardship on planning programmatic and operational activities can be assured.
  • Supervise and lead the commodity team at woreda level to insure best commodity management practice in warehousing and distribution to project participants on timely manner.
  • The warehouse materials requirements provision and fulfilment were ensured, Warehouses in need of repair/renovation maintained and findings closed, capacity building activities done on the warehouse staffs (Storekeepers and Stock controllers) on warehouse management (Store management, recordings, documentation)
  • Provide written reports, data and etc… to JEOP/ team and commodity staff at head office and regional level constantly in the course of JEOP response program implementation.
  • All reports were prepared and submitted timely and records and documents kept in good condition. It will be great thing to maintain monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports and document management to address the truth.
  • Maintain a strong and smooth relationship with woreda and Kebele /Center level major stakeholders in planning and implementing the program
  • Strong partner work relationship will be built particularly with local Woreda government partners and the lead. It is also believed in unity for adhering strong partner relationship with government, donor and CRS team.
  • Maintain and demonstrate a decent and respectful manner in serving the target community and in interacting with the society in general.
  • Food distribution activities preformed with high moral standards and project participants satisfied with the service rendered from such a staff
  • Manage & handle the cash transfer implemented under JEOP 2.0 program
  • Cash transfer activities conducted as per developed minimum standard

Job Requirements

Required Professional Experience

Experience:  Minimum of 2 years of experience in relief and/or any emergency response program interventions implementation

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

BA/BSc Degree in Agricultural Economics, Disaster Management, Rural Development, and Economics & Developmental Studies

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience in integrated project design, implementation and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with major donor programs- USAID, UNOCHA, ECHO and CIDA.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skill including influencing and negotiation.
  • Good level of computer literacy (word, excel, power point and outlook).
  • Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
  • Office-based with periodic travel to the field

Position 2: – Monitoring Evaluation & Learning Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement monitoring systems to track project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of monitoring data through regular checks and validation processes.
  • Provide training and capacity building to staff and partners on MEAL processes and principles.
  • Prepare integration framework to coordinate work with Catalyst project and support the smooth implementation of the project.
  • Facilitates all project’s monitoring and evaluations systems are maintained within the project and regional operational area by liaising with MEAL Department, Support Service Division (SSD) at HO, RO and CPO as appropriate
  • Ensure to prepare, and submit quarterly, biannual and annual plan and report activities undertaken as required to pace forward to the desired goal,
  • Maintains detailed schedules of activity and budget implementation tracking systems for activities monitoring and budget utilization for each Regions
  • Prepare various donor/government reports as per the standard.
  • Use appropriate data management systems, analyses data, aggregates data to the required level and synthesis results for report writing using appropriate and relevant tools.  Use project prepared dashboards, WV systems and procedures including HORIZON and other NO’s established protocols
  • Provide tools, training, and systems to improve project mapping and monitoring of FMNR training, adoption, sites, and tree cover change in line with the Global FMNR Monitoring, Evidence and Learning Guidelines and any relevant National Government Restoration Monitoring initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to relevant programmes and projects on methods and approaches for monitoring and evaluating FMNR scaling, in line with the Global FMNR Monitoring, Evidence & Learning Guidelines and any relevant National Government Restoration Monitoring initiatives

Job Requirements

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in relevant field and NGOs experience is preferred
  • Specific experience in NRM, environment advocacy projects is an added value
  • Significant bi-lateral donor grant experience with program implementation, funding acquisition, and reporting
  • Must be a creative individual with strong sense of priorities and organizational skills and an ability to work with diverse teams across considerable distances
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal skills are needed
  • Must be able to negotiate ideas within and outside the World Vision partnership, particularly with donor communities and government.
  • Optimum level of interpersonal skills to keep up internal and external harmonious working relation
  • Quick learner with ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Excellent ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Federal language/s
  • Proficient computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel & MS Power Point
  • Excellent level of skills and knowledge on use of data management systems ( SSPro, Stata etc..)

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • MA/MSc/MBA/MSW in Social Sciences, Development Studies and related fields
  • Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Office-based 75%

Travel:  25 % Frequent travel to project site, (RO, CPO & AP travel)
