Yetem Trading PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Senior Accountant- Cost and Budget

Major Duties

  • Calculate the standard and actual material and conversion cost of goods produced
  • Calculate the standard and actual material cost of imported items
  • Prepare all the necessary journal entries and record/post
  • Periodically and accurately analyze labor, material and other relevant costs incurred during the production process
  • Monitor the level of finished goods as well as the level of raw and packing materials
  • Monitor/Reconcile the movement of both finished and raw/packing materials in the store
  • Closely work with the store as well as production department to ensure proper and optimum utilization/movement of materials between store and production
  • Analyze cost records and prepare regular reports
  • Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual and periodic budgets/forecast
  • Coordinate with the procurement manager for the proper implementation of the procurement policy of the company
  • Analyze and make proper recording for obsolete and excess stocks held for sale and consumption
  • Organize the regular stock and fixed assets counts and reconcile it with the accounting records
  • Preform other related tasks as required

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with eight (8) years of relevant work experience. Full professional qualification is desirable. Experience as cost and budget accountant in a manufacturing setup is mandatory.

Position 2: Import Export Head

Major Duties

  • Monitoring the export process from Ethiopia to all over the world include all documentation and dealing with forwarder;
  • Responsible to monitor and maintain relationship with all ocean, air, and consolidator /booking agents to ensure accountability and proactive handling of the supply chain;
  • Responsible and accountable for advanced planning of logistics provider capacity and volume forecasting to protect on –time shipping;
  • Control all raw materials importing record update on voucher book, cross check invoice from supplier before shipment;
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies;
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received
  • Supplier co-operation;
  • Follow-up purchasing order status, delivery schedule and shipping document;
  • Prepare import and document, License per invoice;
  • Prepare export and custom documents;
  • Communicate with cleaning facilities, shipping agent & forwarding agent for clearance;
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  • To handle carrier related works like DHL/Fedex etc (import and export)
  • Prepare all the required export documents and facilitate import permits from concerned authorities
  • Handle all import shipments as per the import procedures and requirements in collaboration with concerned authorities and freight forwarding companies
  • Prepare and Updates import follow up sheet
  • Observing and formulating the records of the activities related to imports
  • Application for import permits using Ethiopian single window services
  • Communicate and cross check invoices from supplier before shipment
  • Take responsibility for initial document inspection and document management
  • Follow up for the clearance of undertakings given related to imported materials clearance.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Export Manager

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

 BA in Management, Accounting or related fields 8 years experience out of which 4 years experience as an export head or senior officer. Exposure in documentation, sales negotiation, managing sales contract and export procedure is mandatory. Plus experience in exporting major export items such as coffee, oilseeds, sesame, green mung, cereals, fruits etc is mandatory. Experience in import is a plus.

Major Duties

  • Assis the marketing manager in determining their needs and goals, identifying opportunities for growth within an existing brand, and developing plans to achieve them
  • Consulting with marketing manager on marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and improve sales
  • Developing visual materials like brochures and catalogs to promote products or services
  • Conducting market research to identify potential opportunities for growth in specific product brands
  • Creating a strategic plan for the client by analyzing existing marketing efforts, identifying target audiences, and creating a long-term vision for the brand
  • Working with designers to develop new product lines that appeal to current trends
  • Coordinating all aspects of a company’s branding efforts, including establishing a logo, designing advertisements, and creating a unique voice or tone of voice for a brand that differentiates it from competitors
  • Developing branding strategies for specific brands, including creating slogans and taglines, designing ad campaigns, and selecting models for print ads or runway shows
  • Identifying opportunities for new business opportunities by researching markets and competitors, developing business plans, and pitching ideas to investors.
  • Develop and manage the digital marketing practice of the company in consultation with the marketing manager
  • Develop and manage the content development for the digital marketing and social medias
  • Develop and manage content related to public communication and events.

Qualification and Experience:

BA in Marketing or related fields with minimum 2 years’ experience (from 2 – 4 years’ experience).

 Experience in Branding, Preparing and Managing Branding Guideline; Experience in Design software, Experience in Digital/Social Medial Marketing, Experience in public communication, Experience in event management.

Position 4: Excusive Assistant & HR Assistant

Major Duties Office Admin Tasks

  • Maintain and operate quality and efficient communication services through handling incoming outgoing calls, mails and fax correspondences.
  • Assist team members in administrative rules and regulations pertaining to interpretation and submission of various admin forms i.e., expense reports, timesheets, travel advance, etc.
  • Receive guests and visitors, provide assistance and appropriate information and/or facilitate their visit as per schedule provided.
  • Scheduling Appointment/meetings for executives and managing GM and DGM Calander
  • Provide support in secretarial tasks such as typing, photocopying, duplicating and binding materials and other correspondence and documents to the staff
  • Send and receive mails, parcels for official business through DHL, Post Office or hand carried by staff, or visitors. and check the payment such services obtained.
  • Maintain enough stock of sanitary materials and refreshments (coffee and tea) in consultation with the Senior Admin Manager
  • Maintaining the cleaning and functionality of the office and supervising the cleaning team
  • Collect and up-date all information/emergency file related to the office list of interlocutors
  • Give support for the setting up of the filling system and the archiving process
  • Human Resource
  • Engagement in recruitment process and managing the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly.
  • Implementing, and evaluating all human resource department policies, procedures, and structures.
  • Knowledge of Performance Management, Career Development support.
  • Performing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Work closely with payroll and other departments, exercising discretion while working with highly confidential information

Position 5: Finance Manager

Qualification and Experience:

 MA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance with minimum 8 or BA in Accounting with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller of group company – trading company, manufacturing, import export ,Out of which minimum of 6 years experience on managerial role. Exposure in Trading and Import & Export, FMCG as well as manufacturing is Mandatory

 Major Duties:

  • Timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of financial results
  • Periodic operational and financial reporting to the concerned managers
  • Supervising for timely and accurate completion of the periodic closing of accounts
  • Establish and maintain control systems to safeguard company properties
  • Ensuring the maintenance of proper and accurate Fixed Assets recording
  • Coordinate the company’s annual budget preparation; monitor and report departmental budgeting discipline and performance to ensure achievement of set objectives.
  • Coordinating the periodic sales and production forecasts
  • Lead the development and implementation of appropriate costing system
  • Lead the development, revision and implementation of cost effective financial management and accounting systems in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and business requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Management Team, define annual financial performance target, financial indicators, performance targets, and monitor and evaluate accordingly.
  • Oversee effective implementation of Company financial policies and procedures and ensure relevant government regulations are understood and duly observed by all concerned.
  • Follow up compliance with tax and other regulatory and prudential requirements and guidelines, and ensure timely and accurate payment of all tax and pension obligations to the concerned government organizations.
  • Direct the statutory reporting to the appropriate government agencies and making sure tax returns are made within allotted deadlines.
  • Review transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and books of accounts are balanced, and authorize records of transactions and the opening of general and subsidiary ledger accounts.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit activities, and lead the implementation of auditor recommendations.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation and dissemination of periodic financial statements and management accounting reports to reflect product, work unit and Company performance.
  • Develop, review and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective credit and working capital management.
  • Supervise timely collection of incomes (sales, fees, levies, rent and other funds) as well as timely payment to creditors and suppliers.
  • Review the correctness and completeness of payment instruments and approve payments within scope.
  • Direct the timely preparation of accurate bank reconciliations for all Company accounts.
  • Monitor the financial status and exposures of the Company, and availability of adequate finance to accomplish daily operations and satisfy financial obligations, provide advice to the GM/Management team where appropriate.
  • Lead the development and implementation of appropriate and effective cost controlling and analysis procedures and performance analysis and reporting mechanisms for improved cost management and operational efficiency.
  • Lead surveys to prepare recommendations for improvements, controls, new methods, and other changes to improve the efficiency of the financial management and accounting system.
