Position 1: Office Equipment Technician

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance for office machines, equipment, and other related materials, follow-up repair and maintenance of office equipment.

Major duties of the Office Equipment Technician:

●        Coordinate electricians and allocate tasks to them to ensure an uninterrupted operation of the Bank.

●        Facilitate and perform repair and maintenance of office machines, office equipment and related materials in the bank to ensure an uninterrupted operation

●        Request and secure spare parts and materials needed for maintenance of office equipment, undertake corrective maintenance on a regular basis.

●        Undertake corrective maintenance for office machines, equipment and related materials per online and paper-based requests received to the Department.

●        Follow-up repairs and maintenance of office machines, equipment and related properties done by external organs.

●        Provide necessary information and condition about office equipment and ready for annual inspection

●        Keep-up and update records, and logbooks and follow-up maintenance daily to shorten the down time of office machines and equipment.

●        Coordinate electricians of the Bank and allocate tasks

●        Prepare and submit periodic performance reports to the supervisor.

●       Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Required qualification and experience:

– 10th grade complete and 1-year related experience plus 1st level driving licence.

Position 2: Customer Service Officer-I (Adama )

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to serve customers, pay and receive cash and process transactions; to sell the products and services of the bank, acquire new customers and open and maintain customer accounts and manage customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction with full effort and maximum care as per the policy and procedure of the bank.

Major Duties

Promote and cross sell the Bank’s products and services and maintain positive relationships with all customers and other contact persons.

 Receive existing customers’ enquiries about banking services, facilitate the timely processing of their banking needs, and retain these existing customers.

Receive and pays cash from/to customers with proper documentation per the relevant policy and procedure of the bank

Receive own and other bank cheques, transfer requests and other payment instruments, identifies customers, verifies signature and processes accordingly.

Sort, arranges and wraps notes by denominations in bundles of hundreds

Ensure that customers are always provided with good for issue notes according to the NBE directive.

Reconcile suspense and Head Office Accounts, ATM and POS transactions and prepares summary drawing sheets and sends to respective organs per schedule

Processes cheques, payments, and transfers through the clearance system

Prepare and post various tickets, vouchers, annexes, CPO (Banker’s Cheques) and other documents

Education:

 BA Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or in related fields.

Work Experience:

At Least 1-year relevant experience

Position 3: Customer Service Officer III – Accounts (Mizan Aman)

Job Description

This position is responsible for serving customers and managing customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction with full effort and maximum care; to sell the products and services of the bank, acquire new customers and open and maintain customer accounts pay and receive cash and process transactions as per the policy and procedure of the bank.

Major Duties:

Promote and cross sells the Bank’s products and services

Maintain a positive relationship with all customers and other contact persons.

Call and visit potential and existing customers, promote the bank’s products and services, persuade them to open accounts and start working with the bank.

Open deposit accounts and process cheque, Card Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, and similar requests of customer fulfilling the required documentation as per the banks policy and procedure and relevant directives of the National Bank of Ethiopia

Handle customer applications for credit and international banking, reviews for against eligibility criteria completeness, submits for further processing

Perform disbursements, account creation, loan initiation and schedule set-up, collection and delinquency management, loan status change processing, amendments to loans

Approval loans as per the threshold set by the bank.

Execute credit decisions in consultation with the Principal/Senior Officer-Operations and/or Branch manager.

Ensure that all properties offered as collateral are insured to the full value of the asset over the duration of the loan and the policy is endorsed in the name of the Bank and borrower

File insurance endorsement letters in the Bank’s safe custody and collateral documents per the policy and procedure of the Bank

Reconcile suspense and Head Office Accounts, ATM and POS transactions and prepare summary drawing sheets and sends to respective organs per schedule

Process checks, payments, and transfers through the clearance system

Verify the presenter’s bank signature, check the validity, and verify the signature of the drawer.

Take custody of the branch’s/unit/ATM cash, cheque book, card and other instruments per the relevant policies and procedure of the bank

Review and authorize processed transactions, new account openings and amendments on existing accounts in line with the policies and procedures of the Bank

Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

 Minimum Work Experience:

 At least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as CSO I/II level or equivalent

Position 6: Building Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures.

Major Duties:

  • Fix domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers.
  • Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Study diagrams to decide where structures should be built.
  • Order and cut materials.
  • Build scaffolding for buildings and ships.
  • Set up shoots to pour concrete.
  • Measure distances using measuring tape.
  • Saw boards, plywood, or timber.
  • Nail materials together.
  • Anchor forms into place using rods, cables, wedges, nails, and timbers.
  • Build scaffolds, roof supports, chutes, and framework.
  • Build and install door and window frames.
  • Erect trestles and cofferdams.
  • Install subflooring and other fixtures.
  • Detect rot, decay, or chips in the framework and make repairs as needed.
  • Dig post holds to support the framework.
  • Design and build false work to temporarily strengthen, protect, or disguise buildings.
  • Nail plaster grounds to studding to provide a guide for plasterers.
  • Nail cleats to boards to provide support
  • Assume other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Education:

Level IV (TVET Diploma) in relevant field

Minimum Work Experience:

  At least 2 years relevant experience

Position 7: Section Head, Call Center

Job Description:

This position is responsible for serving customers and conducting customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction with full effort and maximum care, selling the products and services of the bank, acquiring new customers, and opening and maintaining customer accounts coordinating inbound and outbound calls within the Bank.

Major Duties:

  • Manage the daily running of the call Centre, including sourcing equipment, and effective resource planning
  • Apply call Centre strategies, operations to coordinate inbound and outbound calls within the Bank.
  • Promote and cross sell the Bank’s products and services and maintain positive relationships with all customers and other contact persons.
  • Call and visit potential and existing customers, promote the bank’s products and services, persuade them to open accounts and start working with the bank.
  • Open deposit accounts and process cheque, Card Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, and similar requests of customers fulfilling the required documentation as per the bank’s policy and procedure and relevant directives of the National Bank of Ethiopia.
  • Receive existing customers’ enquiries about banking services, facilitates the timely processing of their banking needs, and maintains necessary communication to retain these existing customers.
  • Handle customer applications for credit and international banking, review against eligibility criteria, submit for further processing, follow up and facilitate their timely processing, and communicate the results to the customer.
  • Organize credit information; monitors the loan repayment of each customer as per the schedule, closely follows the defaulting customers, ensures their timely repayment.
  • Perform disbursements, account creation, loan initiation and schedule set-up, collection and delinquency management, loan status change processing, amendments to loans and approval as per the threshold set by the bank.
  • Execute credit decisions in consultation with the Principal/Senior Officer-Operations and/or Branch manager.
  • Ensure that all properties offered as collateral are insured to the full value of the asset over the life/duration of the loan and the policy is endorsed in the name of the Bank and borrower.
  • File insurance certificates/endorsement letters in the Bank’s safe custody and collateral documents per the policy and procedure of the Bank and follow up; every insurance policy is renewed one month before the scheduled expiry date if the loan is not settled.
  • Reconcile suspense and Head Office Accounts, ATM and POS transactions and prepare summary drawing sheets and send them to respective organs per schedule.
  • Process checks, payments and transfers through the clearance system and verifies the presenter’s bank signature, checks the validity of the check, and verifies the signature of the drawer.
  • Prepare, sign and post various tickets, vouchers, annexes, CPO (Banker’s Cheques) and other documents.
  • Maintain appropriate files of customers, other bank specimen signatures and outstanding items and regularly update records and follow up settlement of outstanding items.
  • Comply with the Bank’s policy and procedure, working culture and demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, good personality, and respect for other team members.
  • Exercise supervision over subordinates under the division.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Education:

Bachelor’s/ B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields

Minimum Work Experience:

  At least 5 years’ relevant experience with 2 years’ experience as Senior Officer/ 1 year as Principal officer in a Supervisory role.
