ZOA would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following different positions.

Position 1: Project Officer

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare Work Plans for the implementation of project activities in consultation with Project Manager against the time frame in the area
  • Design disability awareness-training activities and prepare training materials
  • Provide trainings to different stakeholders on disability inclusion program as required in collaboration with project Manager
  • Support different stakeholders at intervention areas in their efforts to mainstream disability in to their services
  • Identify and promote innovative technologies accessible to persons with disabilities and ensure utilization among the youth with disabilities.
  • Support the capacity building initiatives of organization of persons with disabilities and ensure their effective participation in the projects
  • Ensure the active participation of communities  in identification of people  with disabilities for project targets & supports
  • Represent ZOA/consortium in different government and non-governmental platforms
  • Ensure the proper monitoring of the projects in line with project indicators, and provide data and information to the project Manager based at Addis Ababa
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports of activities accomplished and submit to the Project Manager as per the deadline
  • Document good practices of the projects and share to the Project Manager

1.    Compensation

2.     Allowances

  • Transportation allowance:  ETB 5,000  per month.
  • Airtime Allowance: We provide data and airtime to enable you to conduct your work outside of the office.
  • we provide a closed user group so you can speak to your colleagues at no cost.
  • Food Allowance: we provide lunch daily at our offices, ZOA pays 600 ETB per month and staff contribute 400 ETB per month.
  • Severance payment: one month’s salary for an extra service year.
  • Hardship Allowance: If you are working in identified places as a remote and hazardous by the government, you will be entitled 20-40% additional allowances of their basic salary. Therefore, we provide 40% hardship allowance to ZOA employees working in Gambella, Dollo Ado and Shire field offices.
  • Transfer Allowance: We provide transfer allowance of 10,000 ETB If, in case of you permanently shift or transfer to a new programme area.

3.     Paid Leave

We recognize you have priorities outside of work.

  • Our flexible paid time off package gives you the flexibility you need.
  • Annual Leave: 20 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays, and you are also granted one extra day for each extra full year.
  • Enhanced Maternity Leave provision, 4 months
  • Paternity Leave 5 working days.
  • Rest and Recuperation (R&R): We provide you 5 working days for every consecutive 12 weeks of work R&R leave to unaccompanied staff who work away from their permanent place of residence to spend time with their family. Therefore, ZOA provides R&R leave for its employees who work in the program offices in Somali, Gambela, and Tigray regions.

4.    Insurance

 Provident Fund  + Pension: : 32% (22% from ZOA and 10% from You.

 Life insurance 

 Medical Insurance: We also covers your dependents, and your medical expenditures are covered by ZOA up to 100% of each invoice, up to a defined maximum refunded amount of Br 200,000 ETB  per annum.

Competencies, Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA or Master’s degree in Social science fields; Social work, psychology, social psychology, social anthropology, social science, project management, development studies & etc.
  • At least four years’ experience for BA holders and  2 years’ experience for MA holders
  • Proven experience working on disability inclusion programs
  • Experience working on consortium projects is advantageous
  • Experience working in an NGO atmosphere

Position 2: – ERP Procurement: Implementation Project Manager

Activities and Tasks

You will be responsible for the overall successful delivery of this project including and your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Understand and develop the key project management documents including project scope, schedule, deliverables and risk/issue log and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure it meets their expectations.  
  • Manage all activities across the project cycle to ensure delivery on time, on budget and to agreed quality levels. 
  • Establish and manage the project management governance processes including at least monthly reviews, proactive issue management, timely escalation of issues and regular updates. 
  • Review current procurement working practices and recommend improvements to facilitate the smooth transition from paper based procurement processes to ERP led procurement processes.  Recommend and support any training, coaching or revision of JDs based on the recommendation. 
  • Based on ERP procurement ways of working, work with the finance teams to revise and document new working processes for advance management and other affected processes. 
  • Ensure the IT environment supports regularly use of ERP procurement solution for up to 150 people across six sites.
  • Create and deliver a training plan using a ToT approach and ensure that sufficient coaching plan is in place to ensure timely adoption and usage.
  • Ensure easy to use training guides are in place for staff reference and use in staff induction.
  • Conduct a project closure and deliver final closure reports. 

Person Specification

  • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in change management, project management or information systems, with at least 8 years of work experience, including a minimum of 3 plus years in a project management role;
  • Hands-on experience of managing  large scale change projects such as implementation of ERP or similar migration projects;
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with business process mapping, project planning, execution and control; 
  • Experience with various collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and similar ones;
  • Good understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain Management;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Ability to handle changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and use good judgment in stressful situations; ability to take on-time decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
