Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following different position.

Position 1: – Training and Capacity Building Specialist

Job Summary:

Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) has opened its first business incubation and acceleration center (dubbed BIC) in 20222 with the ambition to contribute to the national endeavor of bringing about positive and lasting changes to the Ethiopian startup ecosystem and assist in the drive to create jobs, raise income and sustain the  country’s growth trajectory. Therefore, AACCSA invites Training and Capacity Building Specialist with the following major duties and responsibilities:

  • Tailor curriculum of training to selected trainees/target groups
  • Lead in delivering Mini-MBA training sessions under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Support in assessment and interview of entrepreneurs in the business innovation center’s acceleration and incubation program to identify gaps
  • Support the development and process of training programs to help learners more effectively retain apply new skills
  • Identify learning methodologies and tools that most effectively build the capacity of the center’s target group
  • Develops materials, including but not limited to instructor guides, participant guides, and job aides
  • Creates a pool of trained in-house facilitators to lead various training sessions
  • Maintaining record of curriculum and material and gathering feedback on the quality of trainings from trainees, instructors and managers
  • Initiate and participate in project preparations to donors and other stakeholders

Qualification Requirement:

Education: MA/BA degree in Business Management or related fields from a recognized higher learning institute

Work Experience: Two Years of experience for MA and two years of experience for BA holder

Technical and Other Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
  • Entrepreneurial can-do attitude
  • Strong written and spoken Amharic & English skills
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Previous business experience is a plus
  • Active listening, communication and timekeeping skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Employment Status: Six months contract with possible extension

Position 2: – ERP Project & Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the DSG for Resource Management, the ERP Project and Quality Assurance Manager is expected to ensure the successful implementation of the Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project within the specified timeline and budget including overseeing all aspects of the pre and post project implementation, from defining requirements and selecting vendors to customizing and testing the system. The manager will also establish quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the Cloud ERP system, while minimizing risks and addressing user resistance, enhancing operational efficiency and integrating the Cloud ERP system seamlessly within AACCSA.

Qualification Requirement:

Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management   Information Systems, Information Communication Technology, Compute Engineering, Relevant certifications in project management

Work Experience:  Minimum of experience 10 years for BSc and 8 years for MSc in related position.

  • Proven experience in managing and successfully implementing ERP projects, including planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling phases.
  • Experience in quality assurance and quality management, preferably in ERP systems or complex software implementations more than 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, their functionalities, and integration with various business processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to project management and quality assurance.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, coordinating project teams, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Good Knowledge of chamber of commerce, change management principles and methodologies.

Technical and Other Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor project progress.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, practices, and tools for software testing and defect management.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and their components (e.g., finance, membership, human resources, procurement, etc.) to effectively manage the implementation.
  • Proven excellent leadership and team management skills to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and project teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify project risks, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes, manages conflicts, and makes decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to detail to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Employment Type: Six Months contract with possible extension

Position 3: – Senior Corporate Governance Expert

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director for Institute of Directors-Ethiopia, the Senior Corporate Governance Expert designs and initiates effective mechanisms for successful achievement of the objectives of the Institute. He/she also encourages and promotes the implementation of the Ethiopian Corporate Governance code by prominent Ethiopian business entities and ensures in building and maintaining strong relationship with key stakeholders to promote professional directorship service.

Qualification Requirement:

Education: BA/MA degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Project management and related fields of Studies from Recognized higher learning Institution

Work Experience: Six years of experience for BA holders and 4 years of experience for MA holders in similar positions

Technical and Other Skills:

  • Demonstrated technical ability, sound judgment, and ability to interact and work
  • Effectively with others at all levels;
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills;
  • Good knowledge of economic or Legal research methods and legal ethics;
  • Ability to act in professional and ethical manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Persuasion skills
  • Event management skills
  • Media relations skills
