Position: Trade Development Representative
Required Education and Skills
- BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Sales, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering and related fields
- A minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience in team building, leading and related tasks is preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven work experience as a Trade Development Representative, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
- Knowledge of mediation and conflict resolution techniques is preferable.
- Excellent oral and written English skills, Amharic, and the local language.
- The purpose of a trade development representative role is to promote and facilitate trade between businesses in different regions or locations. This role involves identifying potential trade opportunities, building relationships with potential partners, and providing support and guidance to businesses looking to expand the market reach and also to increase subscribers through subscriber registrations within an allocated market zone in order to achieve and surpass set targets on acquisition of new subscribers through direct selling and trade activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients in person, through calls, and emails
- Present our company products and services to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients
- Report to the immediate supervisor on (daily, weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually)
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
- Possessing excellent knowledge to enhance customer support
- Getting the sale” using various customer sales methods
- Forecasting sales, developing “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluating their effectiveness
- Evaluating customer’s skills, needs and building productive long-lasting relationships
- Report and provide feedback to immediate supervisors using financial statistical data
- Maintain and expand the client database within your assigned territory.

3. Eastern Ethiopia:(Aweday, Haromaya, Kersa, Melka, Rafa, Kombolcha, East, Harer, Mieso, Hirna, Gelemso, Karamile, Deder, Chelenko, Gursum, Chiro, Sabian, Shell, Kezira, Degehabur, Gode, Jijiga).
4. Western Ethiopia: Sebategna Merkato, Kality, Bisrate Gebriel Lideta, Addisu Gebeya, Merkato Atkelt Tera, Asko NOC 18, Keranyo, Weyra Zenebe Werk,Jemmo , Ayer Tena, Burayu, Sululta, Dima Tefki, Lafto Hana, Mexico Kera, Mekanisa, Gotera Gofa, Hana, Akaki Garmnet, Alemgena,Sebeta Melka Kunture, Kara, Alembank, Furi Welete.
