Action Against Hunger is an international, non-governmental humanitarian organization that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger through implementing relief and development programs in different countries of the world.
Action Against Hunger was established in 1979 and has led the global fight against hunger for more than 40 years in over 50 countries, saving the lives of children and working with communities before and after disasters to enable people provide for themselves, see their children grow up strong and build prosperous communities. Working with communities in such humanitarian context, we recognize that our programs and operations put out teams in contact with children and vulnerable adults who may be particularly at risk of harm and abuse.

Position 1: – ICT Officer – Maternity Cover
Required Qualifications and Professional Experience
BSC Degree in Information technology, Computer science, Information System or other relevant degree from a recognized institution
At least 3 years’ experience in Humanitarian context.
VII. Required Skills & Competencies
Experience in providing technical assistance across a variety of departments
Excellent spoken and technical writing ability in English, including report writing
Good communication skills – Organizational skills – Adaptability – Pedagogical approach – Rigour, Flexibility and patience.
Good knowledge of the Windows operating environment and Microsoft Office ( 2010, 2016), Microsoft 365,
Good knowledge of IT troubleshooting and maintenance.
Good Knowledge of networks and wireless technologies.

Position 2: – Protection and Gender Officer
Required Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Psychology, Sociology, Social work, Gender, Public Health or a related field
- Relevant work-related field experience in humanitarian response, minimum 2 years for BA related to Protection, GBV, Gender, or Mental Health/Psychosocial Support.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of protection principles, human rights, and case management
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities.
- Familiar with Community mobilization approach and other behavioral change strategies, GBV guidelines, and standards.
- Trained in IASC GBV Case management.
- Experience in Psychosocial support, WGSS safe space activities, women empowerment, life skill training, counseling, and GBV case management.
- Experience working in GBV programming in a humanitarian context is a plus.
- Language – high level of written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of local customs and Afan Oromo language is mandatory.

Position 3: – Deputy Health and Nutrition Program Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Nutrition, Food Security and other health related field of studies.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, nutrition, RH and epidemiology is preferable.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- 5+ years of professional experience and 3+ years of relevant experience in managing Nutrition and Health relief and development programs.
- Well trained on high impact health and nutrition interventions.
- Familiarity with key donors funded project requirements and procedures.
- Exposure to national and subnational health and nutrition sectoral/cluster coordination platforms and different TWGs.
- Good strategic and analytical ability with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Embracing Diversity, Self-Awareness and Self-Regulation, good experience in staff management and capacity building.
- Strong flexibility in terms of mobility and working hours as well as ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Desirable project management skill, quality report writing skill and capable of working in team.
- Experience in organizing and participating in field-level data collection as part of a research study or program monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal communication skill, networking and representation skill.
- Knowledge and skills of MS Office Suite is required and skills on other statistical software (Epi Info 7, ENA for SMART, and SPSS) is desirable.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
- Genuine interest in and commitment to the mission and principles of Action Against Hunger.
Languages:
Fluency (written and Spoken) in English and Oromiffaa Languages are required.
Knowledge of more than one local language is a plus.
