Position 1: Chief Information Officer
Purpose of the Job:
To achieve the Bank’s business objectives through improving the organization’s internal processes as a way of maximizing company efficiency and making complex tasks more achievable by applying secured technology systems
Major Expected Leadership competencies: Coaches
Coaches and mentors, managing Change, Drive for result, People Management, decisiveness, strategic thinking and business acumen
Generic Functions:
- Lead the development, review and implementation of functional policies, procedure, annual plan/budgets, performance reports ;
- Ensure that service level agreements by the staffs under the functional stream are implemented effectively;
- Embody the bank’s good culture and promote corporate image to the public;
- Cultivate a working environment that enhances teamwork, collaboration, and transparency among work units under the functional stream;
- Oversee the implementation of supervisors’ coaching and mentoring of subordinates towards effective career development;
- Ensure the adherence to internal control system; ascertain that risks are identified, assessed and mitigated within her/his domain;
Specific Functions:
- Lead the development and implementation of IT strategy, governance frameworks, programs, and standards;
- Manage digital transformation initiatives , as well as efforts that will result in organizational wide changes;
- Lead in the upgrading, customization, parameterization and integration of new and existing application systems based on business requirement;
- Drive and coordinate the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s software development needs;
- Lead the selection and implementation of suitable and state of the art technologies to streamline all internal operations and help optimize its strategic benefits;
- Oversee the effective and efficient utilization of technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance;
- Lead the establishment of and adherence to IT service quality standards and ensure that functional units are supplied with the required IT support systems;
- Lead the IT risk assessment process and mitigation activities in line with corporate risk 2 management frameworks;
- Monitor cyber security development program and follow-up its implementation;
- Drive the delivery of cyber security awareness training to all users on regular basis;
- Monitor and ensure that the Bank’s information technology resources are appropriately protected from unauthorized destruction, alteration and access;
- Ensure that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs
- Oversee the development of mutually advantageous and sustainable relationship with IT service and solution providers;
- Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the bank can improve operational efficiencies;
JOB REQUIREMENT
Qualification: MSC/BSC in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering, Information System, Information Science, MIS or any other related field
Work Experience: Ten (10) years of relevant Banking experience, with four (4) years at Director or Department Managerial’ level and as per NBE’s requirement.

Position 2: Director, Marketing & Communications
Purpose of the Job:
To support the Bank increase its market share by enhancing its accessibility through increased visibility and introducing new products and services; effectively reaching out existing and potential customers through integrated marketing communication programs and building a sustainable corporate identity and image of the Bank
JOB REQUIREMENT
Qualification: MBA/MA/BA in Marketing Management, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Economics or any other related field
Experience: Eight/Ten (8/10) years of relevant experience, of which three (3) years in managerial position.
Essential Functions:
- Review the analysis of consumer trends, competitor positions and market conditions;
- Review new product ideas to determine feasibility and potential market demand;
- Lead and coordinate studies on new product development and modification of existing products to meet customer expectation;
- Initiate and participate in workshops and briefings on new and modified products and services in collaboration with other work units;
- Conduct market and need assessment researches to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and revisiting existing products;
- Drive the development of products, develop detailed project development plan, track and monitor project progress, ensure effective implementation of new products, initiate and perform post implementation review after launch;
- Work closely with customer experience managers to develop and implement customer journey with the best market practice and excellent customer experience
- Handle other related duties as may be required
