Bethany Christian Services Global would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Project Coordinator
Role Purpose
The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and developing project interventions to improve the quality of services provided to at-risk child domestic workers. This will be facilitated by community outreach/education, ongoing training of child protection case managers and other relevant stakeholders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and facilitate community outreach events/conversations to promote awareness on working conditions of child domestic workers (CDW) and reduce risks of servitude.
- Provide training community structures members (Community opinion makers and religious leaders) training on child welfare and children’s rights, how they apply to child domestic work as well as on the high cost of child labor and its prevention in selected woreda.
- Provide training for woreda (Sub-district Administration) staff training on child welfare and children’s rights, how they apply to domestic workers, on the high cost of child labor (premature work).
- Provide training on identification, prioritization, and reporting cases of the most severe instances and types of domestic child labor amongst child domestics in selected woredas.
- Provide training and supervision to employers, recruitment actors (brokers) and transporters on CDW concerns/issues.
- Provide training to strengthen caseworkers’ capacities in child protection, prevention of CDW, in the reporting and referral process, and utilization of sector-specific information systems.
- Advocate for the protection and promotion of the rights of child domestic workers (CDWs) by collaborating with external stakeholders, such as government officials and community members.
- Coordinate the CDW Prevention and Response Task Force at woreda level.
- Provide training for members of institutions responsible for combatting CDW.
- Ensure that strategies for phasing out are taken care of during implementation.
- Participate in the program proposal process including new program/project development, possible revision and amendment as necessary.
- Document best practices of the project activities and share with relevant agencies.
- Ensure strong donor compliance, monitoring and evaluation and quality control procedures are understood and entrenched.
- Oversee the production and delivery of timely and quality periodic reports to donors and the relevant stakeholders.
- Take the lead in enhancing the skills and abilities of staff and volunteers by providing coaching, mentoring, and training, which includes conducting the Child Safeguarding Training.
- Build strong relationships with relevant government bodies, donors, CSOs, partner organizations and any other key relevant stakeholders.
- Work with the Program Director to oversee implementation of the project activities ensuring that services are delivered on time, on budget and in compliance with donor regulations.
- In coordination with the Program Director, work with the project team staff to develop work-plans and follow up with team members regularly to ensure that activities are on track.
- Performs other related activities as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor

Qualifications:
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
- Balanced combination of at least 5 years related experience in INGOs and for-profit business.
- Fluency in English and local language
- Good interpersonal skills
- Cooperative, team player, gender sensitive and excellent in interpersonal relationships.
- Have a strong commitment and openness to learn and share.
- Work autonomously, making decisions without too much managerial oversight.
- Able to work in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff.
- Experience working with government offices, regulations and reporting requirements.
- Know the concepts related to the management of a project.
