Position 1: – Sustainable Development Expert
Qualification Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree in development economics, Economics, Macro Economic Forecasting and Modelling, Environmental and Natural Resources, Business Administration, Business Leadership, or a related field.
Additional certifications in sustainability or environmental management are a plus.
Previous Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally within the financial services or corporate sector.
Proven track record of managing sustainability programs, including sustainable finance initiatives.
Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and policies at the organizational level is a plus.
Position 2: – Sustainable Development Officer
Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Developmental Economics, Agricultural Economics/Engineering or related fields of study.
Familiarity with sustainability and ESG frameworks is a plus.
Previous Work Experience
A minimum of three years of experience in related work is required.
Experience in product development within the banking sector or related industries is advantageous.
Position 3: – ESG Risk and Compliance Expert
Qualification Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree in risk management, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management, Environmental and Natural Resources, Project Management, Environmental Engineering, Business Leadership, Economics, Social Studies, or related fields.
Certifications in ESG compliance, risk management, or sustainability frameworks are a plus
Previous Work Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in risk management or compliance within financial institutions or corporate sectors.
Position 4: – Director of Sustainability
Qualification Requirements, Previous Work Experience and Required Competencies
Education
Master’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Engineering, Development Economics, Project Management, Macro Economic Forecasting and Modelling, Environmental and Natural Resources, Economics, Business Administration, Business Leadership, Finance, Social Studies or a related field.
Certification in ESG or sustainability frameworks is a plus.
Previous Work Experience
A minimum of ten years of experience in sustainability and sustainability related jobs is required.
Preferably:
Proven experience in project or program management and policy-driven work across a wide spectrum of sustainable development issues is essential.
Hands-on experience in implementing, monitoring, or evaluating sustainable development initiatives is required.
Expertise in research and analysis, monitoring and reporting, technical assistance, capacity building, or advisory services related to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a must.
Experience supporting intergovernmental bodies in the field of sustainable development is an advantage.
Experience in organizing and delivering capacity-building activities and training programs is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and in leading cross-functional teams is required.
Position 5: – ESG Risk and Compliance Officer (3222)
Qualification Requirements, Previous Work Experience and Required Competencies
Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, law, Environmental Science, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Social Studies or a related field.
Professional certifications in ESG, compliance, or risk management are a plus.
Previous Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles within the financial services sector.
Required Competencies
Expertise in identifying and mitigating ESG risks in financial services, including climate change, social inequality, and governance risks.
Strong understanding of local and international ESG regulations, including:
Basel III
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
Other relevant regulations and standards
Able to develop and manage ESG compliance frameworks, including:
Risk management policies and procedures
Compliance monitoring and reporting systems
Training programs for bank staff
Able to analyze and report on ESG data and risk factors, including:
Data collection and analysis
Risk assessment and reporting
Data visualization and communication
Skilled in developing risk mitigation strategies for sustainability and compliance issues, including:
Identifying and assessing risks
Developing and implementing mitigation strategies
Monitoring and evaluating risk mitigation efforts
Experience in preparing detailed risk and compliance reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies, including:
Risk and compliance reports
Sustainability reports
Regulatory submissions and responses
