Position 1: Support Serve Manager (Re Advertised)

Location: Dolo Ado, Ethiopia

Employment Category:  F2

Reporting To:  Area Manager

Start of Contract & Duration: December 31, 2023

Reposting date: May 08, 2023

Required Employee: 1

Salary: USD 1,445.00 to USD 1,757.00 based on you work experience and educational qualification.

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience of financial, supply chain, human resources, administration or contractual management within international humanitarian and/or development aid.

Proven ability to design and implement financial and contractual management systems, processes and procedures across diverse programmes

Proven ability to lead and manage support services functions – administration, finance, human resources, and supply chain

Strong experience in management of finance and budget monitoring, financial forecasting, and procurement / logistical functions to successfully implement projects.

High-level communications and interpersonal skills.

A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships within a cross-cultural environment.

Sense of humour and supportive attitude

EDUCATION: (include certificates, licenses, etc.)

Degree in a related field, such as financial management, accountancy, or program management.

LANGUAGE: (Indicate fluency level)

Excellent verbal and written English

Somalia language is an added advantage

Experience and Technical Competencies: (include years of experience)

University degree in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, social work, social or gender studies)

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a humanitarian organization

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in GBV prevention and/or response services

Fluency in written and spoken Somali and English

Experience with emergency response, displacement, and conflict and/or drought-affected populations

Strong knowledge of humanitarian, protection, and GBV principles and standards, as well as organizational policies

Excellent protection analysis and reporting skills

Excellent writing and editing skills for external audiences

Experience with people management and creation of a collaborative working environment

Strong inter-personal and communication skills

Commitment to accountability and quality programming

Ability to work well under pressure in adverse, insecure and/or remote conditions with diverse multi-sector staff

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education (include certificates, licenses etc.):

University degree in gender studies, social sciences, law, social work, international development, or other relevant field from a recognized institution

Good knowledge of supply chain management is an advantage

Position 5: Consultancy for End Line Evaluation Integrated ECHO Project

The evaluation consultant or firm should meet the following requirements:

  • Advanced degree in social sciences, development study, statistics, economics or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in evaluating complex programs in humanitarian context especially in international humanitarian organizations with particular experience in integrated programs that include protection components (protection monitoring, case management, GBV, etc), shelter and multi-purpose cash assistance
  • Have experience in undertaking evaluations in refugees, IDPs and host context. Working experience in the study locations is an added advantage. Knowledge of local languages in the study areas is an asset
  • Experience in quantitative research, digital data collection (such as Kobo toolbox) and statistical data analysis methods (such as SPSS, STATA) as well participatory data collection methods
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent skills in ability to articulate ideas in a clear and accurate manner including the ability to prepare quality reports, good data presentation and visualization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and ability to maintain effective working relations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with various guidelines and standards relevant to refugee and cash/voucher interventions (SPHERE, UNHCR guidelines, ECHO DG guidelines etc.)
  • Ability to manage the available time and resources and to work and deliver in tight schedules

Experience in documenting impact of advocacy initiatives

  • Their updated Curriculum Vitae and at least two professional references from their prior clients.
  • Attach the Curriculum Vitae’s of key team members involved in the evaluation
  • Two samples evaluation reports from previous evaluations relevant to this study
  • At least two performance certificates for successful accomplishment of related previous studies and any other supportive documents
