East Africa Specialized Engineering, PLC is a subsidiary of Africa Specialized Engineering, B.V., a Netherland based engineering firm specializing in providing unique and tailor made construction solutions that optimize existing and new construction projects.

Since the early 1950s, there have been considerable advances in the “art” and “science” of structural designs and construction through the use of better structural materials, refined knowledge of structural design processes and construction technologies and methodologies. Most of these advances, however, remain underutilized in various parts of Africa.

Position 1: Accounting Lead

About the Job

Purpose of the Job:

Lead Accounting Team

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily processing and posting of invoices (Accounts Payable and Receivable) providing clear update and Verification of Invoices for vendors

Lead the budget planning cycle and performance variance reviews in payment days

Lead Bank reconciliation and advance tracking

Intercompany and vendor settlement management

Aging report generation and resolution of outstanding balances

Submission of consolidated transactional data to the Finance & Reporting Team for budgeting and compliance purposes

Manage liabilities from banks and vendors and even customers

Assist Inventory teams in accounting perspective to reconcile month end with Inventory and asset team

TB and GL Clearing and check the completeness with respect to accuracy-cash , expense and intercompany)

Mange all petty cash of head office and projects

project accounts control

Staffs Account settlement and follow up

Inter company daily trasaction control- related party payables

HQ payroll DL and temporary labour Payroll processing and control

Month end posting of payables

Full control Bank loans, OD, Bid bon guarantee, Performance bond PD follow up with propoer followup sheet

Odoo Bill provision and monthly accrued expense follow up interdepartmental cost utilization

Performs other related tasks as deemed necessary

About You

Qualification

MBA BA in Accounting/Finance / economics

Min 5yrs in experience in handling detail accounting task

Familiarity in general accounts management

Understanding of taxation and compliance in daily tasks

Familarity in IAS, IFRS GAAP and Local tax rules

Agility to keep the company on track

Experience in ERP and ready to now new things

Ability to work independently and take ownership of task

Good decision maker

Experience in reporting of financial reports and non financial reports

Position 2: Key Account Executive

About the Job

Purpose of the Job:

Control key accounts of company

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Verification of Invoices for customers followup Engineers to file approved IPC and request Sales order on Odoo

All GL reconciliations and verification for reporting of revenue and recivables

Mange all incomes for all companies and align with mangement

Critically examise all entries accounted in the books of accounts and corrections where required

Manage all Customers advance settlement and liability

weekly AR aging report update

Work out an accurate and data-based information on a company’s profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity. Research and analyze financial information to help companies make well-informed decisions.

Full control Bid bon guarantee, Performance bond customer PD follow up with propoer followup sheet

Manage daily Account Recivables recording and communicate with customers finance

assist Budgeting and forcast control and reporting on timemonthly basis for corporate office

Review transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and books of accounts are balanced, and authorize records of transactions and the opening of general and subsidiary ledger accounts( for cash, bank loans and projects COS)

Bi monthly Intercompany loan and monthly confirmation with DARAO

Tracking of revenue with respect to cost utilization which aligned with monthly VAT payables

Reconcillation of customers account

Performs other related tasks as deemed necessary

About You

Qualification

BA in Accounting/Finance / economics/

Min 1yrs ofexperiance in S2C, Intercompany and customer management

Familiarity in procurement and cost analysis

Understanding of taxation and compliance in daily tasks of transaction

Familarity in IAS, IFRS GAAP and Local tax rules

Agility to keep the company on track and problem solving

Experience in contract treament according to IFRS

Position 3: Project follow Up Engineer

About the Job

1. Project Coordination & Follow-up

Act as the primary liaison between the head office, project engineering head, site engineers, and subcontractors.

Prioritize office-based follow-up on technical submittals, payment requests, and contractual communications with clients and subcontractors.

Ensure timely collection, verification, and processing of subcontractor payment requests in line with executed work and contractual agreements.

Track project variations, change requests, and ensure proper documentation and approvals.

Follow up on all project correspondence, technical submissions, and responses from engineering teams and stakeholders.

2. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare regular progress reports, payment status updates, and project documentation for management review.

Maintain accurate logs of communications, approvals, submittals, and pending actions.

Review and prepare BOQs, QS reports, and ensure alignment with verified site data.

Support internal audits by providing complete and accurate project documentation.

3. Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary office contact for client representatives, consultants, and external stakeholders for project progress, payment status, and technical clarifications.

Maintain positive and professional relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

4. Project Scheduling & Monitoring

Work with office-based planning teams to update project schedules, ensuring alignment with financial milestones and payment timelines.

Monitor critical activities, resource allocations, and long-lead material approvals to avoid delays.

5. Compliance & Quality

Ensure all payment requests and technical submissions meet contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Document compliance issues, non-conformance reports, and resolutions.

About You

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years and max of 7 years in construction project management or coordination roles.

At least 2–3 years in an office engineering position handling payment follow-up, BOQ review, and client communication.

Experience in building construction (finishing works preferred).

Position 4: Senior BD Engineer – EPC

About the Job

Purpose of the Job:

The Senior BD Engineer – EPC is responsible for identifying, preparing, and securing large-scale engineering and construction projects in line with EASE’s positioning as a next-generation EPC firm. The role is focused on EPC tendering, bid strategy, and client engagement on technical offerings—ensuring our value engineering capabilities are effectively communicated and converted into awarded contracts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Tender and Proposal Preparation:

Lead and coordinate the technical and commercial aspects of EPC tender submissions.

Liaise with Design, Engineering, and Operations departments to prepare accurate proposals and BOQs.

Translate technical features into client-relevant value propositions.

Client and Consultant Engagement:

Engage with developers, consultants, and contractors to position EASE as a credible EPC partner.

Attend pre-bid meetings, technical clarification sessions, and site visits.

Foster long-term relationships with key accounts.

Pipeline Development:

Identify new EPC opportunities across Ethiopia and East Africa.

Maintain a live bid tracking system in collaboration with BD Head and Commercial Manager.

Contribute to strategic prioritization of leads based on ROI, fit, and complexity.

Competitor and Market Intelligence:

Analyze market trends, bidding behaviors, and pricing strategies.

Benchmark EASE’s performance and offerings against regional EPC players.

Internal Coordination and Documentation:

Coordinate with Proposal Engineers and Estimators for detailed submissions.

Prepare technical/commercial presentation materials and reports for management review.

Maintain accurate records of all client communications, proposals, and bid results.

About You

Qualification and Experience:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management (essential), master’s or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

5+ years in technical sales, tendering and EPC proposal roles

Proven record of winning EPC projects through competitive bidding.

Background in contract structuring and FIDIC is an advantage.

Expertise:

Strong technical understanding of structural engineering and EPC workflows.

High-level writing and proposal development skills.

Fluent in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD (basic), and proposal software

Fearless and positive attitude – willing to take intelligent risks while being a team player and resilient in the face of challenges.

Strong time management skills: ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work with others and follow through to execute all tasks.

Role Summary

As BD Head, you will lead, inspire, and coordinate our dynamic Business Development team. Key Responsibilities

About You

Required Qualifications

Proven experience managing teams, structuring BD pipelines, and aligning operations with strategic growth.

Purpose of the Job:

To lead and direct all aspects of the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. The CFO plays a key strategic role in managing budgeting, compliance, audits, capital expenditure, joint ventures, and legal financial matters. The role ensures the financial health and sustainability of the company while enabling growth through sound investment and compliance frameworks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

o Budgetary Control

Direct the preparation, review, and management of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Budgets. Ensure adherence to budgetary allocations and provide timely insights on deviations.

o Cash Flow Management

Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational and strategic needs. Optimize working capital and liquidity positions.

o Statutory Compliance of F&A

Ensure all financial and accounting operations comply with applicable tax laws, financial reporting standards, labor regulations, and corporate policies.

o Audit Closures

Lead and finalize all types of audits (Statutory, Tax, Cost, Internal) and ensure prompt resolution of audit observations.

o Tax Litigation

Represent and coordinate the company’s position in all tax-related disputes, appeals, and litigation, in collaboration with legal and tax advisors.

o Capex Budget Control

Monitor, evaluate, and approve capital expenditures. Ensure Capex is in line with strategic business goals and provides an optimal return on investment.

o Process Improvement & Implementation

Drive implementation of financial systems and new processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in finance and accounting functions.

o Joint Ventures (JV)

Evaluate new JV opportunities, conduct due diligence, and regularly analyze the performance of existing JVs to ensure strategic alignment.

o Investment Decision Making

Conduct risk assessments and financial analysis to support executive decision-making related to investments and funding options.

o Capex Evaluation & Financing

Evaluate financing options for capital investments and structure financial models to support long-term sustainability.

o Financial Approvals

Review and validate finance-related transactions and approvals to ensure alignment with budgets and internal policies.

o Budget Review & Approval

Lead reviews of departmental budgets and provide strategic approvals after evaluating their financial viability and alignment with organizational goals.

o Legal Financial Oversight

Collaborate with legal advisors on finance-related legal matters, including contracts, disputes, and compliance risks.

o Fundraise for the business requirement

Raising debt or equity funds for the Company as per the business requirements.

About You

Qualification and Experience:

Education:

  • Accounting Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is mandatory
  • 12–20 years of experience, with at least 5 in a Group CFO or senior finance leadership role

Experience:

Expertise:

  • Prior experience working in or transitioning founder-led businesses into institutional structures
  • Demonstrated capital structuring expertise: equity, debt, mezzanine, intercompany loans, etc.
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidation under a holding structure, preferably in multi-jurisdictional setups
  • Exposure to investment-grade reporting and financial governance
  • o Financial policy development and audit oversight
  • ERP implementation and automation in finance
