United Nations Economic Commission for Africa would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Economic Affairs Intern
Qualifications/Special Skills:
To qualify for the internship program, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, high school and must have a Diploma.
(b) Be enrolled in, or in the final academic year of a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent), Master’s, or Ph.D. program.
(c) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program.
If you meet any of the above criteria, please indicate which one and attach proof to the application. An official certificate will be required later.
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advanced coursework, or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent), Master’s, or Ph.D. program, or have completed one of these programs.

The ECA’s mission is to deliver ideas and actions for an empowered and transformed Africa, informed by the 2030 SDGs and Agenda 2063. The mission is guided by ECA’s five new strategic directions:

Developing macroeconomic and structural policy options to accelerate economic diversification and job creation.
Designing and implementing innovative financing models for infrastructure and social assets.

Advocating Africa’s position at the global level and developing regional responses to global governance issues.
The Technology, Innovation, Connectivity, and Infrastructure Development Division (TICID) supports member States in achieving sustained economic growth through:
Improving the business environment and increasing private sector investment.
Promoting innovative financing models in agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and services.
