Ethiopian Human Rights Commission would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Associate Human Rights Officer

Qualifications and Experience:

LLB/LLM in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law

Zero years of experience for LLM holders

2 years relevant experience for LLB or 6-12 months participation on Young Leaders Program (Internship Program)

Computer literate

Knowledge of Amharic and English is required

Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous

Salary Range: Gross monthly salary of ETB 17,750.00 – ETB 20,567.00 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history.

Location: Semera City Office, Jigjiga City Office

Position 2: Program Assistant

Qualifications and Experience:

BA Degree or Level 4 Diploma in Management, Administration, Secretarial Science and Office Management, or related fields.

2 years of experience with BA

4 years of relevant experience with Diploma

Experience in event management, travel and logistics is a strong plus

Computer literate

Knowledge of Amharic is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous

Salary Range: Gross monthly salary of ETB 9,667.00 – ETB 10,806 plus ETB 4,320.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates’ qualification, experience and earning history

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Position 3: Human Rights Resource Center Officer

Qualifications and Experience:

BA/MA degree in library science, information/ knowledge management or information science.

4 years of relevant experience in resource center management, documentation, knowledge management for BA holders, and 2 years of relevant in resource center management, documentation, knowledge management for MA holders.

Proficiency in cataloguing and library/resource management systems.

Strong research and information retrieval skills.

Familiarity with digital resource platforms and online databases.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.

Creativity in promoting access to knowledge.

Computer literate.

Knowledge of Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.

Salary Range: Gross monthly salary of ETB 20,400.00 – ETB 23,683.00 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Position 4: Human Rights Officer, Needs Assessment and Evaluation

Qualifications and Experience:

LLM/LLB Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law.

4 years of relevant experience for LLB and 2 years of relevant experience for LLM.

Computer literate.

Knowledge of Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous

Salary Range: Gross monthly salary of ETB 20,400.00 – ETB 23,683.00 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history

Position 5: Human Rights Officer (Curriculum Design & Material Production)

Qualifications and Experience:

LLM/LLB Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law.

4 years of relevant experience for LLB and 2 years of relevant experience for LLM.

Knowledge of Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous

Position 6: Human Rights Officer, Monitoring and Investigation

Qualifications and Experience:

LLM/LLB Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law.

4 years of relevant experience for LLB and 2 years of relevant experience for LLM.

Computer literate.

Knowledge of Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.

SALARY RANGE: Gross monthly salary of ETB 20,400.00 – ETB 23,683.00 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Position 7: HR Officer, Talent Acquisition

Qualifications and Experience:

BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.

6 years of relevant experience in HR management

Demonstrated experience in recruitment and onboarding

Experience working with HRIS is a plus.

Computer literate

Knowledge of Amharic and English is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Position 8: HR Officer, Talent Development

Qualifications and Experience:

BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.

6 years of relevant experience in HR management

Demonstrated experience in training and management of employee performance management.

Experience working with HRIS is a plus.

Computer literate

Knowledge of Amharic and English is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
