Elegance General Trading PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Elegance General Trading PLC (also linked with ELEGAS Ethiopia Trading PLC) is an Ethiopian company involved in diverse sectors, notably as a major partner for Yango Ethiopia (ride-hailing, providing customer support/operations), specializing in premium Ethiopian coffee export (Elegance Coffee), and offering event planning, wedding décor, and imported event furniture. They focus on quality, sustainability, and bringing global products to Ethiopia, serving as a broad trading entity with specialized brands.

Position: Junior Accountant

QUALIFICAION

  • BA-Degree in accounting and related field
  • 2+ Years work experience

An Junior accountant performs bookkeeping and clerical duties by recording financial transactions, managing accounts, and assisting with financial report preparation. Key responsibilities include data entry, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and performing administrative tasks like filing and answering inquiries to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant.


Core responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile transactions: Enter financial data, record transactions, and reconcile accounts, including both accounts documents.
  • Manage accounts: Monitor accounts and ensure payments are processed correctly.
  • Assist with financial reporting: Help with the preparation of financial statements and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain records: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Handle administrative tasks: Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Communicate: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors and internal departments.


Additional duties

  • Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages.
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
  • Schedule appointments and receive customers or visitors.
  • Provide general information to staff, clients, or the public.
  • Type, format, or edit routine memos or other reports.

Essential skills

  • Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and office software, such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and make judgments within established procedures.
  • Good organizational skills for managing administrative tasks like filing
