Ethio telecom has got its current status since 29th November 2010 as a part of Ethiopia’s 2005/06 – 2009/10 GTP following the federal government’s decision to focus on improving telecom services, taking them as key to national development.
Ethio telecom is looking for young, energetic and customer focused professional to enhance its customer experience.
Ethio Telecom would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Frontend Development – Full Stack Software Developer I
- Education:
BSc Degree or Level V with COC in:
Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. - Technical Skills:
- Strong foundation in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Basic experience or strong interest in React.js, Next.js, or React Native
- Familiarity with Node.js and frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
- Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Experience with Prisma or Drizzle ORM
- Basic understanding of Tailwind CSS and responsive design
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, or Agile tools (Jira, Linear)
- Good problem-solving and debugging abilities
- Teamwork, communication skills, and eagerness to learn

Position 2: Frontend Development – Full Stack Software Developer II
- Education:
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. - Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proven experience with React.js, Next.js, and React Native
- Strong backend development skills using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS
- Experience with Prisma or Drizzle ORM and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and familiarity with GraphQL
- Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, responsive UI design, and web security
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
- Experience deploying and maintaining mobile apps on App Store or Google Play
- Excellent debugging, optimization, and teamwork skills
