EthioChicken would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Jr. Accountant, under the supervision of National finance manager, is responsible for overseeing preparation of payments, production receive and issues, company tax issues and additional finance projects.

Key Functions

  • Check existence of budget for each payment requests before payment preparation
  • Prepare and Pay withholding taxes from payments in compliance with the Income Tax Proclamation
  • Prepare company’s taxes payments to be settled correctly and timely
  • Prepare bank payment transactions
  • Handle petty cash payments and ensure compliance with internal control set out
  • Submit bank instruction letters issued to the banks and follow-up their status
  • Prepare cheque payment vouches and cheques for only approved fund requests on time as per agreed upon terms and conditions, if any
  • Responsible to record and follow up all Goods Receiving Notes, Store Issue Vouchers and Goods Return Vouchers in excel sheet.
  • Record and follow up Settable Egg receiving note from breeding issuance of the settable Egg to other sites.
  • Ensure all costs are properly accumulated & assigned to proper stock.
  • Ensure all production costs are correctly accumulated & allocated properly.
  • Ensure all required purchase, issue and production documents are collected & completed before sending to HO.
  • Prepare & follow up outstanding GRN, SIV, DO & purchase invoice documents & report on weekly basis.
  • Follow and collect all required source documents for the site on weekly basis & Report any Missed documents to cost division head HO immediately.
  • Ensure regular physical count of stock of raw materials, finished goods, Vaccines Medicines, and Eggs, and reconcile against stock cards.
  • Prepare stock and finished goods reconciliations and variances analysis
  • Report slow moving and dead stocks of raw materials and finished goods
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirement

BA Degree in Accounting/Finance

Knowledge of Peachtree accounting

Work Experience:

Fresh Graduate Zero year)

Position 2: HR Officer

Key Functions

  • Create staff database and keep track of all relevant staff information.   
  • Monitor contract expiry dates and renew contracts before it expires.
  • Maintain updated & secured staff information and personnel files.
  • Work with the hiring managers and General Service in preparing office space, computers and other relevant equipment’s before the arrival of the new staff.  
  • Work with supervisors in setting up individual orientation program for all newly hired staff. 
  • Provide orientation on HR policies and procedures.
  • Pension: ensure that each employee has completed all pension formalities and has obtained a pension ID card
  • Ensure all staff has specific roles and received Job descriptions.
  • Keeps and updates staff leave records (annual, sick, maternity, parental, etc.)
  • Maintain updated annual leave tracking for all employees.
  • Assist the HR Manager in getting completed evaluation on time and compiling relevant information from the performance evaluation.
  • Oversee work permits and other relevant procedures for expat staffs, are smoothly handled.
  • Assist in collecting external training providers and creating training database.
  • Prepare & compile payroll and overtime information and submit them to Finance on time
  • Prepare job offer letters, employment contracts and ensure that all staff filled out the required forms for employment.
  • Edit and change format of new Vacancies/JD’s received.
  • Post vacancies on Ethiojobs website, and in other appropriate venues.
  • Receive and compile applications received.
  • Prepare the CV summary of applications received.
  • Shortlist potential candidates and review final shortlist of hiring manager to insure it meets essential requirements for the position.
  • Prepare, schedule and facilitate interviews.
  • Attend interviews on behalf of HR Department.
  • Follow up and collect interview evaluation from interviewers.
  • Prepare summary of interview notes and evaluations.
  • Prepare and distribute follow up emails to candidates on the status of the recruitment (if they are shortlisted, rejected before or after interview and assessment).
  • Advise Managers and Supervisors on staff management, managing employee relations and grievances.
  • Build culture of teamwork, commitment, and performance across all departments
  • Ensure all staff has specific roles and received performance evaluation as per the timeline.
  • Manage all other employee related-issues

Job Requirements

Competences

  • Strong personnel management experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and Meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education Qualifications and Requirement

BA degree in Management, Business Administration or Human Resource Management

Proven skills in administration and human resources management.

Work Experience:

Fresh Graduate (Zero year)

Position 3: Storekeeper

Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for all warehouse operations including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing storage of surplus inventory and property at the store. The work requires knowledge of methods and procedures related to the receipt, storage, and requisitions of supplies and materials, and supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures.

Key Functions

  • The employee plans and lays out his/her own work assignments and the work of others. warehouse personnel, and reviews work performance and products to ensure compliance. With established methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Receives and verifies inspection from User Department all incoming stocks and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders;
  • Documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
  • Resolves discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by Contacting vendors or requesters.
  • Report canceled and damaged items to head of store keeper.
  • Keep stocks according to a prescribed inventory system.
  • Supervise counts, weighs, and measures goods received or issued.
  • Reconcile and explain variances identified during counts against store records
  • Keep record of expiry dates for feed and review regularly to ensure they are used within Their proper period.
  • Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, etc
  • Controls the disbursement of supplies and material; and delivery of finished goods through Directing the posting of inventory control cards or automated systems.
  • Submit reports on movements of stocks to National Distribution Manager with all the necessary supporting documents
  • Directs the maintenance and operation of the stores
  • Stacking the finished feed and Raw Materials in store in a way easy for FIFO Method
  • Weekly Stock take should be taken in the first shift
  • The store keeper has to handed over to the second shift store keeper with updated bin cards
  • The store keeper check which stock was produced first before he load to the truck(FIFO method)
  • Materials shall be received on all working days only during working hours.
  • Finished Feed shall be Load on all working days only during working hours.
  • 100% verification/weighing to be done. Weigh bridge reading is not always 100% reliable. Therefore, 10% of the consignment should be weighed at random and based on this observation receiving can be made.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

Competencies

  • Exposed to modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage. and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, Packing slips, bill of ladings, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; Computerized warehouse record keeping systems.
  • Ability to perform physical labor; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
  • Reasonable knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, Peachtree, Outlook
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service/supplier
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments by ensuring completion within
  • parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Special Requirements

Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting (up to 50 lbs./22 Kgs unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or work in a consistent basis.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Supplies management or related fields

Work Experience:

Two (2) years’ related work Experience
