Additionally, the ESS provides technical guidance and assistance to government agencies, institutions and individuals to help them to establish administrative recording, registration and reporting systems and to build the capacity required for providing directives and consultations on the development of administrative records and registration systems.
To maintain internationally accepted standards and to satisfy the excessive demands of statistical data the ESS is diversifying its statistical methodologies and up grading the use of technology in its data collection, compilation, classification, analysis and dissemination methods.
Besides narrating the vision, mission, objectives, duties and responsibilities of ESS this booklet aims to highlight the importance of data which is acquired in various ways.
Ethiopia Statistical Service would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Data Collector
The Ethiopian Statistical Service, Addis Ababa Office, is seeking to recruit: 5,606 data collectors, These positions are on a contract basis for the Economic Establishment Census (EEC) survey to be conducted in Addis Ababa city in the 2018 budget year.
Qualification
First degree in any field
0 years of experience.
What Else is Needed for the Job?
Ability to manage the process and provide sufficient collateral within a short period of time when recruited.
Willingness to work on foot in designated areas under the districts of Addis Ababa City Administration.
Position 2: Field Work Regulators
The Ethiopian Statistical Service, Addis Ababa Office, is seeking to recruit: 785 field work regulators, These positions are on a contract basis for the Economic Establishment Census (EEC) survey to be conducted in Addis Ababa city in the 2018 budget year.
Qualification
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in one of the following fields:
Statistics
Economics
Computer Science
Information Systems
Information Technology
Mathematics
Accounting
Management
Sociology
Geography
Social Work
Experience Required
Candidates must have 2 years of relevant direct work experience.
What Else is Needed for the Job?

Position 3: Statistician
The Ethiopian Statistical Service, Addis Ababa Office, is seeking to recruit: 111 statisticians, These positions are on a contract basis for the Economic Establishment Census (EEC) survey to be conducted in Addis Ababa city in the 2018 budget year.
Qualification
First degree in Statistics, Economics, Demography, Developmental Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Geography, Agro – Economical, GIS and remote sensing
With 0 years of experience.
