The ATI envisions to be the leading center of innovative solutions for the transformation of Ethiopian Agriculture by 2030.
The Institute focuses on two primary national approaches to catalyze agricultural transformation. First, we support the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), its affiliate institutions, and other partners to identify and address systemic bottlenecks within an Agricultural Transformation Agenda. Second, we support Regional Governments to accelerate the development of high-priority commodity value chains in clearly defined geographic clusters, through the Agricultural Commercialization Clusters (ACC) Initiative.
Our major activities include conducting strategic and analytical studies, providing technical implementation support, coordinating platforms to better integrate partners and projects, and designing and directly leading a number of implementation projects. Our headquarters are in Addis Ababa, and we have regional offices in Amhara, Oromia, SNNP, Sidama, South-West, and Tigray regional offices, allowing us to work closely with a wide range of public, private and development sector partners across the country.
Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA) would like to invites competent and qualified candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Senior Administrative Officer
Job Requirements
- BA Degree/MBA, in Business Administration/Management or related field from a recognized university/institute.
- Minimum of 6 years for a BA Degree or 4 years for Master’s degree with relevant experience working in administration and office management within an international organization preferred.
- Strong knowledge and ability to work in a hybrid cultured organization.
- Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Innovative and problem-solving skills and capacity to deliver under pressure.
- Strong people and client relationship skills
- High level of commitment and working with minimal supervision
- Fluency in Amharic and a working knowledge of English is a requirement. Ability to speak and write clearly and unambiguously, including communicating precise technical specifications or needs to contractors and customers,
- Basic use of Microsoft packages and ERP application systems.
- Ability to work under pressure

Position 2: System Administrator
Job Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience for BSC / 4 Years for a Master’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, Information Technology, or its equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and above: Office 365 is preferred.
- Experience on Office 365, E3, Cloud and Digitalization app & services is must
- Has experience supplemented with relevant industry-standard certifications.
- At least five 5 plus years of advanced Windows system administration.
- Experience with medium (400 + users) Active Directory migration project a plus.
- Four (4) plus years managing corporate E-mail systems (Exchange Migration a plus).
- Four (4) plus years’ experience in a medium (400+ users) Enterprise environment.
- Experience with internal IT SLA.
- Experience working in a virtualized environment

Position 3: Senior Project Officer II – RuSACCO
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Project Management, Cooperative development/marketing, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in the cooperative/SACCO sector or similar experience.
- Knowledge of the cooperative sector in general and saving and credit cooperatives (SACCO) sector in particular
- Deep understanding of Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire system operates and how public, private and informal actors operate within the system
- Track record in project management, reporting, and information material development
- Proven experience in creating partnerships at the regional and national level
- Highly facilitative and collaborative leadership style
- Excellent adaptive problem-solver in a challenging environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience in workshop/ trainings, campaign/events organizing

Position 4: Project Officer II- Institutional Support for Seed Systems in Ethiopia (ISSSE)
Job Requirements
- Minimum M.Sc. degree with a focus on plant science, agricultural economics, and agricultural extension.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience within the Seed sector in strategically and analytically focused roles in public, private or development sectors.
- Understanding of Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire system operates and how public, private and informal actors operate within the system.
- Good understanding of input supply chains, technology solutions and tracking systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data gathering skills.
- Excellent technical/computer skills

Position 5: Senior Project Officer I – Integrated Shallow Groundwater Irrigation Development (ISGWID)
Job Requirements
- M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, water resource engineering and other related fields of study.
- A minimum of 6 years experience in the irrigation and drainage sector
- Familiarity with policy and regulatory framework of irrigation, drainage, and water resource management in Ethiopia
- Understanding of Ethiopian’s irrigation and drainage sector with a broad perspective and knowledge of irrigation, drainage, and water resource management challenges
- Broad perspective on policy, and strategies related to irrigation development and tackle systematic bottleneck of irrigation development
- Deep understanding of Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire system operates and how public, private, NGO and informal actors operate within the system
- Experience in piloting and scaling up relevant solutions at both national and local levels, while building productive partnerships across sectors
- Practical experience in piloting, implementing, and scaling up of well drilling tec, water saving and other irrigation technologies
- Demonstrated ability in the preparation of specification, bill of quantity and procurement of irrigation technologies
- Strong in-country network in Ethiopia in the agricultural sector, both at the national and the regional levels
- Oral and written fluency in English and Amharic. Fluency in at least one additional Ethiopian language is a plus
- Highly facilitative and collaborative style with the ability to build relationships across diverse cultures and organizations

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience for a BA Degree or 4 Years for an M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, Information Technology, or its equivalent.
- CCNA Security, CCNP Security, NSE 4 and above valuable
- Four (4) years experience in administrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing network systems which include firewalls, DNS, VPN, LAN, WLAN Cisco products, (including but not limited to Adaptive Security Appliance, Cisco ASDM, Cisco IOS), and Windows servers for load balancing, functionality, security, performance, patches, outages, redundancy, implementations and scalability.
- Knowledge of common protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, KERBEROS, RADIUS

Position 7: Project Officer II – Rural Financial Services
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in business, economics, agriculture, public policy, international development, and other relevant subject areas
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in rural financial services projects and initiatives
- Interest in and familiarity with Ethiopia’s agricultural sector, agricultural and rural development
- Genuine intellectual curiosity and desire to innovate and bring large-scale change

Job Requirements
- Masters or PhD Degree in Economics, Business Management/Administration, and/or relevant field of studies,
- Minimum 14 years for Masters and 8 years for Ph.D. relevant work experience out of which Seven or more years of experience in leadership, a business management or executive role,
- Demonstrated competencies in strategic management, general management/Leadership, team building, effective communication, Stakeholder management,
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives,
- Strong analytical and project-reporting skills, with focus on internal and external communications,
