Position 1: Digital Marketing Officer
Purpose of the Job:
To effectively reach the target groups of the Corporation’s product consumer through the social media and electronic communication channels by implementing integrated marketing communication and building a sustainable Corporation identity and image.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the activities related to the Corporation’s digital mineral trading platform in collaboration with the respective teams.
- Review and update the web page and social media pages of the Corporation.
- Develop a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, public relations and event and campaigns.
- Create timely and engaging content optimized for platform used for intended audience.
- Monitor sites for customer service opportunities and initiate conversations on behalf of the Corporation.
- Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect the Corporation’s brand.
- Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube), create original content etc.
- Create and manage all published content (images, video and written).
- Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
- Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.
- Compile report for management showing results.
- Engage in social media dialogues and answer questions where appropriate.
- Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
- Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, and channels.
- Identify and report threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business.
- Analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.
- Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns.
- Analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing related fields with four (4) years of demonstrated experience.
Required Expertise and Skills:
- Excellent writing skills and verbal communication abilities;
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage multiple projects;
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities;
- Capable of identifying, attracting and engaging target audiences;
- up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and developments;
- creative in devising informative, engaging and motivational digital campaigns;
- proven marketing experience on different digital platforms;
- experience with leading and managing social media marketing campaigns;
Position 2: Director, Human Resources
Purpose of the Job:
To support the implementation of the Corporation’s strategic goals by providing capable, motivated, and innovative workforce through effective and integrated talent management, total rewards, performance management and organizational development strategies, programs and policies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define HR objectives and strategy that are aligned with overall strategy of the Corporation.
- Participate in the Corporation wide strategy development, review and implementation process and ensure that the Corporation’s strategy is informed by thorough assessment of talent, manpower and organisational capabilities and conditions.
- Lead the development of HR policies, programs and procedures and partner with senior leaders to implement human resources strategies.
- Allocate resources for the effective implementation of human resource strategies.
- Lead the development and implementation of key talent management programs such as succession planning, career management, total rewards, learning and development, workforce planning, sourcing, performance management, retention etc.
- Drive effective HR programmes, processes and service delivery to HR customers.
- Drive the design and implementation of effective work place enhancement and employee wellbeing programs.
- Contribute to the development of the business strategy and provides counsel to the leadership team in support of the Corporation’s’ goals and initiatives.
- Lead process in interpreting and translating business strategy into human resources and organization initiatives.
- Identify critical HR goals and success factors for the business; develop related action plans and deliver corresponding results.
- Advise business leaders and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, programs and procedures.
- Ensure alignment of organizational structure of the Corporation and individual functions with strategic and operational requirements and also initiate organizational development program to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the design and implementation of systematic processes of job analysis, job description and specification, and job evaluation and grading.
- Oversee the development, maintenance and utilization of HR information system and ensure that all relevant data are maintained and automated.
- Lead the design and implementation of effective employee performance management process.
- Lead the provision of effective consultation and solution to business leaders related to talent matters.
- Drive effective leadership development and succession programs.
- Lead the coaching and development of the Corporation’s leaders on people management and leadership skills.
- Lead appropriate and integrated workforce communication across the Corporation related to all HR matters.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and appointment for senior positions in the Corporation.
- Ensure appropriate and integrated workforce communication across the Corporation’s.
Generic Duties of the Position:
- Develop and implement the Department’s strategic and operational plans and objectives.
- Develop, approve and monitor the Department’s budgets.
- Identify human resources requirements of the Department and develop plan for meeting the requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation and review of departmental policies and procedures.
- Review, approve and submit Departmental reports to relevant organs.
- Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
- Manage disciplinary concerns of the Department’s staff.
- Represent the Corporation in external relationships related with the Department.
- Participate in group decision making processes by forming part of different groups/committees.
Qualification and Experience:
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related fields with concentration/specialization in Human Resource Management with 10/12 years of demonstrated experience out of which 4/5 years in a managerial position.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Work experience as a Chief HR Officer, HR Manager or similar role
- People oriented and results driven
- Experience in strategic planning
- In-depth knowledge of all HR functions
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

- Certification in HR is a plus
Position 3: Chief Geologist
Purpose of the Job:
Lead, Manage, Coordinate and Monitor all exploration programs on Primary and secondary deposit such as precious metal, Base metal, Industrial minerals, Construction minerals and etc.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop exploration work standards and procedures.
- Develop full scale project plan including project budget, manpower, equipment, machinery etc.
- Propose new strategic exploration projects based on previous results and various sources.
- Prepare project proposal document to acquire new exploration and mining licenses from Federal and Regional mine office.
- Communicate to all appropriate external stakeholder (Federal and Regional offices, communities) to easily execute the project.
- Evaluate the economic viability of the project periodically and report regularly to the higher management.
- Participate in the field work as per the needs of the project.
- Work with expatriate and consultants employed by the Corporation for the department.
- Prepare regularly scheduled standard exploration and exploration activity report and submit to the regulatory authority timely.
- Work with other departments and staff to meet Corporation goal.
- Prepare, evaluate, and administer contracts such as drilling, exploration study, feasibility study, environmental and social impact assessments etc.
- Participate on other Corporation activities.
Qualification and Experience:
MSc/BSc Degree in general Geology, Geochemistry, Economic Geology, Geochemistry or other geo-sciences fields with at least 10/12 years demonstrated in the field experience out of which 4 years in a supervision / senior position.
Required expertise and skills:
- Working knowledge of GIS systems and different geochemical and resource modeling software programs (GEMCOM, SURPAC, ArcGIS, DATAMINE, LEAPFROG etc).
- Very good verbal and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of a range of deposit type and their mode of occurrence.
- Experience across the upstream value chain, from new business development, through exploration and appraisal to production.
- Knowledge of reserve calculation and categorization at different scale.
- Economic and profitability assessments of a deposit.
- Knowledge of using advanced computer skills, 3-D modeling.
Position 4: Manager, Exploration and Development
Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of this job is to oversee and manage the exploration and development activities within the organization.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of geologists, engineers, and technicians.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to the team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Set goals and objectives for the team and monitor progress.
- Exploration Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement exploration strategies and programs to identify and evaluate potential mineral deposits.
- Conduct geological surveys, analyze geological data, and interpret exploration results.
- Collaborate with geologists and technical experts to identify exploration targets and prioritize areas for exploration.
- Assess geological risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Mineral Deposit Evaluation:
- Evaluate mineral deposits based on geological data, mineralogy, resource estimation, and economic viability.
- Utilize geological models and geostatistics to estimate mineral resources and reserves.
- Conduct economic evaluations and financial analysis to assess the profitability of mining projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and financial teams to optimize mine design and production plans.
- Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee exploration and development projects from conception to completion.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Mitigate project risks and address any issues or obstacles that arise during project execution.
- Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Stewardship:
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations governing exploration and mining activities.
- Implement environmental management plans to minimize the impact of exploration and development projects.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging environmental and regulatory trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with local communities, indigenous groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
- Address stakeholder concerns and maintain transparency in project activities.
- Collaborate with community relations teams to develop and implement social responsibility programs.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present technical reports, exploration results, and project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment of objectives.
- Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and professional development activities.
Qualification and Experience:
MSc/BSc degree in general Geology, Geochemistry, Economic Geology, Mining Engineering or related fields with a minimum of 12/14 years of demonstrated experience in the field out of which 3 years in a senior managerial position.
Required expertsie and skills:
- Experience in exploration and development within the mining industry in Ethiopia.
- Broder private sectior and international experience is favourable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of exploration techniques, geological modeling, and resource estimation methods.
- Familiarity with National and International mining regulations and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in using geological software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
