ERC operates passenger and freight transport.
The Ethiopian railways Corporation (ERC) was established on 20 November 2007 by regulation 141/2007 of the council of Ministers of te Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The regulation mandate ERC to develop railway infrastructure and provide passenger an freight rail transportation services in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Railways Corporation would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Senior Transport Coordinator (1)
Education Level: MA/M.Sc/BA/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering/Transport Management/Fleet Management or related
Experience: 4/6 years relevant experience
Position 2: Senior Mechanical Engineer (1)
Education Level: M.Sc/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or related
Experience: 4/6 years relevant experience
Position 3: Senior Equipment Inspector & Estimator (1)
Education Level: M.Sc/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or related
Experience: 4/6 years relevant experience
Position 4: Senior Machinery & Vehicle Supervisor (1)
Education Level: M.Sc/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or related
Experience: 4/6 years relevant experience in design quality assurance
Position 5: Maintenance Supervisor/Foreman (1)
Education Level: BA Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience: 6/8 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance
Position 6: Senior Office Engineer – For Head Office & Project (6)
Education Qualification: B.Sc/M.Sc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Experience: 3 years professional experience (project follow-up preferred)
Position 7: Senior Mechanics (1)
Education: Level IV in Mechanical Technology or related
Experience: 6 years relevant experience, especially heavy equipment repair
Position 8: Body Man/Welder (1)
Education: Level IV in Welding
Experience: 4 years related experience
Position 9: Electrician (1)
Education: Diploma in General Electricity
Experience: 4 years in electrical maintenance/repair preferably in heavy trucks
Position 10: Tire Technician (1)
Education: Grade 10/12 completed
Experience: 3 years & above heavy truck tire service experience
Position 11: Assistant Mechanic (1)
Education: Level III technical school
Experience: 2 years heavy truck maintenance experience
Position 12: Labor Workers (4)
Education: Grade 10/12 completed
Experience: 1 year & above heavy garage experience
Position 13: Lab Technician (1)
Education Level: B.Sc/Level V in Construction Materials or Civil Engineering or related
Experience: 2/4 years experience (batching plant preferred)
Position 14: Tools Man (1)
Education Level: Level II in Mechanics
Experience: 2 years experience (heavy truck maintenance preferred)
Position 15: Supervisor/Foreman (1)
Education Level: B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or related
Experience: 4 years experience in construction material quality assurance
Position 16: Marketing Expert (1)
Education Level: BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related
Experience: 5 years marketing experience, preferably in construction industry
Position 17: Procurement Officer (1)
Education Level: BA in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related
Experience: 3 years procurement & store management experience
Position 18: Mixer Driver Assistance (12)
Education Grade: Grade 12/10 completed
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as mixer driver assistant
Position 19: Mixer Driver (6)
Education level: Grade 12/10 completed with appropriate driving license
Experience: Minimum 4 years mixer driving experience
Position 20: Fuel Depot Supervisor/Lead Attendant (1)
Education Level: Level IV or Vocational Training in Mechanics/related
Experience: Minimum 4 years fuel station operations experience (2 years as supervisor)
Position 21: Fuel Dispenser (1)
Education Level: Level II Vocational Training in Mechanics/related
Experience: Minimum 2 years fuel handling experience
Position 22: Plumber (1)
Education Level: Level II/Grade 12 in Plumbing
Experience: 2 years & above plumbing experience
Deadline: December 15, 2025
