Forum on Sustainable Child Empowerment (FSCE) would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following different position.

Position 1: Administration and Finance Officer/Accountant

Job Summary:

The Administration & Finance Officer/Accountant is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementation and timely reporting of financial utilization, human and material resource management issues of the coordination office.

Education: BA/Diploma (10+3) in Accounting, financial management and in other related fields of study

Work Experience: 2/4 years of relevant work experience for BA/Diploma respectively, preferable in an NGO environment.

Number of Position: one

Competency Requirements:

  • Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
  • Good skills in the use of computers and peach tree accounting software;\
  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, transparent and participatory management.

Duty station: Dire Dawa with frequent travel to Harar and Jigiga

Position 2: Junior Officer

Job Summary

Position 3: HR Officer & Administration Assistant

Job Summary

The HR Officer & Administration Assistant is responsible for managing human resource files and Keep tracks or follow up all HR issues including annual leave records and staff applications and presents to relevant management for timely decision and actions. She/he is also responsible for office management, general services and property management .She/he provides effective and efficient support and advice to the Executive Director and team members on human resource management and development, office management, material resource management and administrative issues. Moreover, she/he drafts letters, reports, transmits in-coming messages to the concerned person(s) or departments, schedules appointments for the ED, and oversees FSCE’s filing and communications systems.

Education: MA/MBA Degree/BA in management, Business Management and Administration or other related social science fields of studies

Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years for MA/MBA degree and 5 years of relevant work experience for BA in HR and Administration area

Number of Position: one

Competency Requirements:

  • Integrated knowledge and understanding of human and material resources management concepts, practices, systems, and procedures;
  • Good knowledge and skills in planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills.
  • Basic computer skills and excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with FSCE staff and stakeholders and promote a culture of team work and positive working relationship.
  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to people affected by HIV/AIDS and persons with disability.

Duty station: Head Office Addis Ababa

Position 4: – Youth Economic Empowerment Officer

Job Summary

Youth Economic Empowerment Officer is responsible for working within the program staffs to successfully implement the organizations and the project’s objectives in the areas of the project planning, organizing, executing and reporting of economic strengthening and livelihood improvement interventions under IYA. She /he is exclusively responsible for leading the design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of the projects’ economic empowerment activities of the project to improve the livelihoods of the target youth beneficiaries through financial, in kind and other technical and mentorship support provision

Required Education: Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Business management, Accounting, Development studies, Cooperative Management, Economics, Agri business and other related fields.

Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years prior work experience and demonstrated practical skills in working with youth owned and led enterprises, women self-help groups, small and micro enterprise development, financial service providers, one stop centers and job matching service providers.

Number of Position: one

Competency Requirements:

  • USAID projects experience implementation in the area of youth and economic strengthening field is a plus.
  • Certifications, training courses on saving skills, business development and SACCO
  • Strong commitment to working with youths
  • Experience in youth mobilization, training and small and micro enterprise development,
  • Experience in business mentoring and coaching and business plan development
  • Experience of organizing and working with saving and credit cooperatives
  • Excellent partnership building, communication and management skills to work with youth owned enterprises, private sector, government institutions, NGOs, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills and ability to solve problems
  • Proficiency in computer software application, report preparation and data management;
  • Proficiency in English and other local language, written and spoken. Writing and speaking skills of additional local languages is a plus.
