Position 1: Executive Secretary

Job Requirement

Education Level: Ba or level IV (Diploma)

Field of study: Administrative science or secretarial science and office management or administering office and secretarial technology or secretarial science

Years of experience: 4 years relevant experience after BA degree or 8 years relevant experience for diploma (Level Iv), of which 4 years as secretary lll or in similar position

Position 2: Nurse

Job Requirement

Education Level: BSC or Level IV (Diploma)

Field of study: Nurse or pharmacy or pharmacy Technician

Years of experience: 5 Years or 7 years relevant experience for Degree and Diploma holders respectively

Position 3: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Under the overall guidance of the Finance Director, the Sr. /Ms. Accountant is responsible for the overall financial management and accounting of FTA, analysis and reporting, ensuring ongoing viability and a secure financial future in line with the organization’s objectives, mission and values.

S/he shall undertake activities of budget monitoring, full accounting cycle including management reporting, and fulfilling requirements of specific and year-end financial audit.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare/Review payment vouchers and cheques as well as bank transfer letters including incoming wires before signature by signatories for validity and correctness.

Make bills/invoices processed for payment, provide account and analysis codes and encode them to the Accounting System

S/he will provide financial advice and information to the Finance Director and Managing Director if necessary.

S/he will have substantial experience / awareness of FTA finance regulations and key international financial reporting requirements.

S/he will be responsible for the preparation of management and annual accounts, financial analysis and management report information – maintaining close links and a strong working relationship with the other departments to ensure appropriate and timely provision of management information and close management of individual budgets.

S/he will be accountable for management of the annual audit process, risk assessment and preparation and overview of all contracts for project staff and business partnerships.

This role shall participate in the recruiting and procurement processes, and make sure the processes are consistent and streamlined. Work closely and transparently with all external partners including third-party vendors, suppliers, consultants and banks.

Coding & encoding financial transactions, preparing bank reconciliation, ensuring invoices are paid timely and meeting deadline of financial reporting to management.

She/he undertakes the task in compliance with internal policies, procedures and local laws as well as IFRS requirements. The incumbent shall also be responsible for ensuring proper charts of Accounts are used/applied and needs application of IFRS and fund management practice.

Key Skills and competencies:

Ability to carry out responsibilities independently with minimal technical support from supervisors.

Must be a patient and good communicator who can function in an organizational environment involving a diversity of cultures, languages, and personal interests and agendas.

Good at the role of facilitator and team player in solving problems.

Committed to staff training and development.

High level of personal and professional integrity with strong analytical skills and ability to function well in a multi-cultural environment

Comprehensive knowledge of computer accounting software systems, particularly sun systems

Experience of project financial monitoring and reporting

Experience of complying with funding contracts and reporting to donors

Highly motivated and result-oriented individuals.

Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to prioritize tasking and manage workflow in a high-pressure environment.

Fluent spoken and written English with a good knowledge of French has a distinct advantage.

Strong communication and team working skills, desirable to have experience with remote working teams

knowledge and experience of local laws

Job Requirement

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting, Commerce or Finance with a recognized institution, having a CPA/ACCA has an added advantage.

Minimum ten years of relevant work experience.

Requires extensive experience in working with computerized accounting systems such as Peach Tree, Quick Book, SUN System, standard spreadsheet and database programs.
