GGE is an International Non-governmental Organization registered under the Agency of Civil Society Organization with certificate No 1724. GGE has been working in the education sector since 2011 G.C particularly accelerated education program and EiE. Currently Geneva Global Ethiopia is seeking candidates for an upcoming Emergency Response Program for IDPs and host communities in Ethiopia with specific emergency affected target woredas and schools of Oromia and Amhara regions.

Position 1: Child Protection Referral Focal Person

Problem-solving: The ability to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.

Position 2: Child Protection Program officer

Qualifications:
University degree (B.A) in the field of Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Community Development, Development Studies and other related fields.
Extensive work experience relevant to child protection in both emergencies and development.
At least 2 years of progressively responsible humanitarian and development work experience in child protection and gender-based violence, including in emergencies.
Previous experience in child protection program coordination.
Familiarity and experience working with government counterparts.
Strong knowledge and experience in establishing child protection coordination architecture, especially at woreda levels, will be an asset.
Excellent communication skills in the local language/Amharic/ and English

Language: Fluent in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo.

Education: Bachelor’s in education, educational planning and management, and related fields of study.
Experience: A minimum of 2 (two) years’ relevant professional experience in humanitarian project implementation including education in emergency and child protection projects.

Strong understanding of IDP protection issues, child safeguarding, gender equality, and disability inclusion.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English, Amharic and Afan Oromo languages (written and spoken) and other local languages is a strong asset.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
A Minimum of two years’ experience as an accountant.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree, ERP systems).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
NGO experience will be an advantage
