Sequa gGmbH is a globally operating non-profit development organization. Since 1991 sequa has carried out programs and projects of international cooperation in close collaboration with the German private sector. sequa offers know-how and long-term experience in capacity development for chambers and associations (BMOs), vocational education and training, private sector development and trade promotion. The organization is based in Bonn, Germany. sequa employs more than 100 persons (2022) and reported a turnover of EUR 58 m in 2021.

GIZ Sequa gGmbH would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

 Position 1: STE CA Investment Facilitation Consultant

Your Tasks / Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Prepare a comprehensive evaluation report on the SME’s investment readiness to secure a seed investment of $1M,
  • Provide a data room that includes all relevant information about the SME and prepare a pitch deck highlighting the unique value proposition,
  • Prepare a strategy document outlining potential questions that may arise during investor meetings and appropriate responses,
  • Coaching and follow-up of transaction support,
  • Assist the team in the establishment of KPIs and develop reporting mechanisms.

Assignment Period: 06/2023 – 07/2023

Working time scope: 20 days, potentially extendable based on project needs

Job Code: ETH-1013-SME Investment Facilitation Consultant

Job Requirements

Your Qualification / Skills

  • Bachelor /Master’s degree (minimum requirement) in business administration or related fields,
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
  • Ability to work online and be comfortable in handling pressure,
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Your Working Experience

  • More than five years of experience delivering investment readiness support for seed or similar investments,
  • More than three years of experience conducting market research, identifying potential investors, and creating detailed business plans,
  • Experience in supporting companies with digital business models is a plus.

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 2: STE CA Marketing Consultant

Your Tasks / Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Preparing detailed proposals and marketing plans to communicate the value proposition and goals to potential clients,
  • Conducting market research to help understand customers, competitors, and market trends,
  • Coaching the marketing team in the execution of B2B and B2C campaigns,
  • Crafting main media messages for B2C customers,
  • Developing marketing plans to achieve business objectives.

Job Code: ETH-1013-SME Sales Consultant

Job Requirements

Your Qualification / Skills

  • BSc/BA in marketing, communications, business or relevant field; MSc/MA is preferable,
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis and Marketing Research,
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically,
  • In-depth understanding of marketing principles,
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Your Working Experience

  • More than four years of marketing experience, including B2B and B2C,
  • More than two years of experience in developing & implementing marketing strategies and creating business linkages. Please provide a clear description of achievements made for the companies consulted,
  • Proven work experience in early-stage start-ups,
  • Proven work experience in product development for digital companies.

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 3: STE CA Sales Consultant

Your Tasks / Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Devise sales strategies to promote the SME’s services,
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement,
  • Develop actionable plans to achieve sales targets based on findings,
  • Provide comprehensive support for client relationships, including maintaining account history, communication logs, and performance metrics,
  • Develop a toolset to provide exceptional customer service and establish long-lasting customer relationships that will enhance customer loyalty and increase referrals,
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and acquire at least five B2B clients by utilizing effective sales techniques, building rapport, and identifying client needs,

Assignment Period: 06/2023 – 07/2023

Job Requirements

Your Qualification / Skills

  • BSc/BA in marketing, communications, business or relevant field; MSc/MA is preferable
  • In-depth knowledge of sales principles
  • Knowledge of the industry and products, services, and solutions offered to provide comprehensive information to customers and convey the value proposition.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Writing and reporting skills in English.

Your Working Experience

  • More than four years of sales experience, especially with B2B and strategy development
  • Proven track record with SMEs in the digital industry

Workplace: Addis Ababa
