GLORY Real Estate PLC – Job Vacancy Announcement
Position 1: Senior Finance Expert
Role Summary
The ideal candidate will manage complex real estate accounting structures, ensure strict adherence to Ethiopian tax laws, and maintain financial reporting in full alignment with IFRS guidelines using Peachtree Accounting software.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in strict compliance with IFRS, specifically IFRS 15 for real estate revenue.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Ethiopian Government finance laws, ERCA directives, VAT, and Income Tax regulations.
- Accounting Systems: Oversee daily financial operations, ledger controls, and reconciliations within Peachtree Accounting.
- Project Costing: Track construction expenditures, budget variances, and cash flows across active real estate sites.
- Audit Coordination: Lead annual external financial audits and settle periodic tax declarations seamlessly.
Education & Certifications
- Educational Requirements: BA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive, verifiable experience in senior financial roles.
- Industry Experience: Direct, practical experience working inside a Real Estate Development or large-scale Construction company is mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
- Software Skills: Advanced, hands-on mastery of Peachtree Accounting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ethiopian tax directives, investment policies, and financial laws.
