Position 1: Production & Marketing officer Livestock

1.     At least 4 years previous experience in agricultural marketing, agri-business, commercial farm business

2.     An appropriate 1st degree and above in Production and marketing/ business related fields

3.     Ability to work within a team of professional staff from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds

4.     Able to work independently and act on own initiative

5.     Good communication, facilitation and negotiation skills

6.     Good computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

7.     Good English language skills, ability to speak, read and write local language is an added value

Desirable/Advantageous Credentials:

1.     Qualified and experienced candidates who originate from agro / pastoral communities.

3.     Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Oromifa for woredas in Borana/Guji Zone, Somali for woredas in Liben/Somali Zone

Position 2: – Logistics, Admin and Finance Officer

BA/Diploma in Accounting or related field with 2/4 years’ experience in Finance in an NGO environment

o Previous logistics, finance and HR/admin experienced with NGO’s or private field

o Has initiative; creativity and independent to perform the job properly

o Dynamic person

o Good communication skill both verbal and written in English and Amharic

o Honest and know how to manage problem resolutions

o Management skills of staff (subordinates)

o High level of accuracy, attention to details.

o Ability to deliver task on deadline.

o Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.

o Understanding the nature of emergency in Humanitarian Response Programme and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.

o Very good knowledge and application of MS-Office, especially Excel.

o Good English communication skill (written and spoken).

o Experience and knowledge of USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, Irish Aid, etc. fund management.

o Team oriented, flexible, and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.

o Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,

Position 3: – Safety & Access Officer

Competent and literate in English, verbal and written, with a sound knowledge of technical expressions.

· Competent and literate in local language, verbal and written, with a sound knowledge of technical expressions

· 3 years of demonstrative experience in INGO/NGO/UN or Corporate firm with at least 2 years of field safety management experience included

· Experience in;  in a conflict situation, coordinating with other agencies in relation to security, designing and skills in providing security training, developing safety related technical tools guidelines and systems.

· Sound judgment, diplomatic tact, and mature common sense

· Strong assessment, evaluation, analysis, and strategic planning skills

· ICT literate, MS – Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Interpersonal communication and proven good communication in English both spoken/written – excellent presentation skills

· Demonstrated ability to manage under stressful conditions

· Demonstrated knowledge of the historical and socio-political context of Ethiopia

Position 4: – Senior WASH and NFI Officer

Bachelor’s degree preferably in water supply and environmental engineering, Water Resource engineering, Hydraulic engineering, construction or architecture or related field with 4 years of relevant experience in WASH/NFI sector with an NGO setting with the following competence.

·        Demonstrated experience in both emergency and development WASH response

·        Good, demonstrated experience in using AutoCAD and Water CAD software

·        Substantial knowledge, understanding, and ability to form and conform engineering design and construction contracts, bills of quantities, and specifications

·        Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently

·        Extensive experience of contract administration including change order control and negotiation(s), auditing for performance, and close-out

·        Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations

·        Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources

·        Cluster meeting representation and report writing skills

·        Excellent communication and coordination skill, preferably with the community and woreda line departments government

·        Extensive experience of contract administration including change order control and negotiation(s), auditing for performance, and close-out

Degree/MPH is preferred/ Diploma or equivalent in health science-related field of study, including Public Health, Nursing, or Midwifery, and a minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in providing primary health care at health facilities and implementing/monitoring emergency nutrition interventions of SC, OTP, and TSFP

·      at the hospital, HC and HP level.

·      Ability to effectively liaise with local government organizations, NGOs, and donors

·      Flexible and creative approach, highly motivated and able to take the initiative and work unsupervised

·      Fosters working in teams & teamwork spirit,

·      Training and facilitation skills,

·      Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local language,

·      Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,

·      Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,

·      Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.

Position 7: Project Manager

BSC in Public Health and Nursing with a minimum of 4 (four) years of relevant work experience

·      Have a demonstrated experience in emergency nutrition programme, notably CMAM, and running other feeding programme

·      Strong knowledge of operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation and report writing,

·      Good knowledge, understanding and implementation of integrated Rural Development and emergency Programme activities,

·      Ability to plan and organize work to meet individual, team and programme objective,

·      Training and facilitation skill,

·      Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,

·      Fosters working in teams & teamwork spirit, coach and lead staff.

·      Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,

·      Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

·      Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,

·      Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.

·      Understanding of the nature of the program and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.

·      Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.

·      Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,

Position 8: Procurement Officer

Degree or Diploma in purchasing/supply chain management or similar and relevant study

·      At least 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar role in an INGO/NGO or private sector

·      Good computer skills; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

·      Good Communication skills in English – reading, writing and speech

·      Good negotiation skills

·      Flexible to work at odd hours and willingness to travel to the field offices.

Desirable/Advantageous Credentials:

o  CIPS/Fritz Certification

o  Knowledge of local language

Position 10: Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Officer

Requirements: (Educational Qualification and Experience)

Minimum Requirements:

·       BSc in Agriculture, (Agronomist, Rural Development, or related field with 3 – 4 years’ work experience preferably with an INGO.

·       Sound conceptual understanding of development theories, local poverty dynamics, solid experience in working with and managing partnerships, networking, and capacity-building processes.

·       Field-based experience of programme implementation in agriculture, food security, DRR, and income generation.

·       Trained and highly experienced in the use and development of a wide range of PRA skills

Position 11: Health & Nutrition Officer

Position 12: Senior Health and Nutrition Officer

Qualification (Education, Experience , key qualities, skill and competence)

Diploma in Purchasing, Supplies Management or related field with a minimum of 2 years related BSc/HO in Public Health with a minimum of four years’ proven work experience preferably in NGO and Mobile health and nutrition projects.

Demonstrable experience in working with communities, and knowledge of participatory approaches.

Extensive Knowledge and experience in primary health care system.

Strong knowledge on monitoring and evaluation and report writing,

Ability to plan and organize work to meet individual, team and programme objective,

Training and facilitation skill,

Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,

Fosters working in teams & teamwork spirit,

Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local language is a must.

Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,

Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.

Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities.

Knowledge of local language
