Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) is a branch of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). HEHE is currently operating under Africa Habitat for Humanity International. Since it started operation in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia has supported thousands of families and individuals. Initially focused on mortgage houses for families affected by poverty and other vulnerabilities, the organization has expanded its efforts to incorporate vulnerable group housing, urban slum upgrading, urban resilience building, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and Disaster Risk Reduction Response (DR3)-WASH Resilience Building.
Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Communication intern
Qualification:
Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, Linkdin, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.
Completed or working toward a college degree (junior level and up), preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in communications is a plus
Understanding of the basic principles of public relations
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is highly desired.
Knowledge of HTML, website content management, and graphic design a plus
Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Genuine enthusiasm for creating compelling communication materials to support HFHE programming
Self-starter, good time management, creative, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
Ability to work well independently, and within a team
Commitment to the continuous improvement of service quality and HFHE’s mission
Location: Addis Ababa
