Position 1: Health and Safety Officer

Job Summary

provide first aid for minor injuries, monitor work conditions for potential dangers, and suggest job modifications for employees who are ill, or injured and physically examine employees and take medical histories for company files.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety programs;
  • Provide emergency treatment in the workplace;
  • Administer over-the-counter medication to employees;
  • Document all employee injuries and illnesses and keep this information confidential;
  • Improve the health of employees through ongoing programs and health checks;
  • Planning and delivering patients’ care;
  • Monitoring patients’ progress;
  • Giving first aid to employees;
  • Taking samples, pulses, temperatures, and blood pressures;
  • Monitoring and administering medication;
  • Advising patients and relatives on health-related issues;
  • Administering medications and treatments, then monitoring patients for side effects and reactions;
  • Performing wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging them;
  • Operating and monitoring medical equipment.
  • Communicate with management on a regular basis.
  • Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with industrial nursing guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • BA degree in nursing
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • A postgraduate degree in basic occupational health and safety will be advantageous
  • Comprehensive Clinical Training in Occupational Health and Nursing.
  • Language proficiency in Oromiffa, Amharic and English

Position 2: PASTRY & BAKERY SOUS CHEF

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating custom Pastry & Bakery items from recipes, planning, and supervising the production of the Pastry & Bakery Department;
  • Creating & developing new seasonal & holiday menu recipes, and testing new flavors;
  • Prepare food items according to guest requests and food recipes;
  • Maintain and order food inventory, including fresh; produce, dairy products and other Pastry & Bakery needs
  • Effectively control costs of food and related purchases upon approval of the Head Chef;
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by practicing safe food handling, FIFO, etc;
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards;
  • Manage the pastry & Bakery team, including training, coaching, disciplining, and more;
  • Manage employee scheduling with the approval of Head Chef;
  • Foster an environment of customer service in which all team members put the guest first in every situation;
  • Follow company and departmental policies and procedures;
  • Act as the team leader in the absence of the Head Chef;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Chef.

Job Requirements

  • A culinary degree is preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an upscale hotel environment;
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/management role;
  • Possess all local food management and safety certifications;
  • Experience in European and Mediterranean Bakeries & Pastries;

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with baking pastries, cakes, tarts, pies, cookies, and bread;
  • Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools, and equipment;
  • Excellent pastry, bakery, and cake decorating skills;
  • Practicing all general safety & sanitation standards;
  • Passion for maintaining a healthy and safe environment;
  • Solid communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English proficiently;
  • Analytical & Interpersonal skills;
  • Above average computer skills;
  • High level of business acumen and common sense;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be flexible with the schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and nights;
  • Performing duties that require bending, reaching & Standing, or moving for up to 8+ hours;
  • Lifting & transporting up to 100-pound containers, dish racks, trash cans, etc;
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environments;
  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance;
  • Following all uniform guidelines.

Position 3: Building Administrator

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage third party services including cleaning, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, specialty vendors, and contracts;
  • Check and monitor the physical condition, general upkeep, and cleanliness of the building. its surroundings and its facilities;
  • Ensure proper and judicious usage of all utilities of the Building’s electricity & water, especially those within its jurisdiction;
  • To coordinate with custodial workers, personnel of the building, and of such other pertinent offices necessary for the effective performance of their duties and responsibilities;
  • Immediately report electrical problems to the supervisor for immediate action. Such problems may be defective lighting facilities (e.g., busted electric bulbs, malfunctioning fluorescent lights), open or dangling wires, electric fans which are not properly functioning, etc;
  • Respond promptly and professionally on customers’ inquires/complaints relating to utility facilities;
  • Identify and provide a prompt solution to any problems concerned with facilities by collaborating with stakeholders;
  • Oversee gate and key management of concerned compounds;
  • Understand utility facilities-related needs and provide solutions to relevant stakeholders;
  • Develop and maintain operational data related to all utility payments and collection;
  • Confer with appropriate business units to ensure the collection and payment activities related to utility services provided for the properties;
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility providers agencies and private maintenance contractors;
  • Monitor the operating status of utilities by observing control system parameters, distributed control systems, switchboard gauges, dials, or other indicators;
  • Ensure functionality status and performance of utility equipment;
  • Perform other activities as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field;
  • Equivalent experience minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience in real estate or an administrative role;
  • Experiences in services, administrative support, real estate administration, or construction project management is crucial;
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is mandatory.
