Position 1: Data collector – South West Ethiopia Region

Role Summary       

The data collection consultant will be closely supervised and report to the Supervisor. The core task will be to assist the manager to conduct survey successfully.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of first degree in health and health related fields
  • At least two years of data collection experience
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse and dynamic team
  • Experience in working with various data collection tools such as ODK, Survey CTO
  • Ability to use speak and read English
  • Ability to speak local language

Position 2: Data collector – Sidama

Role Summary       

The data collection consultant will be closely supervised and report to the Supervisor. The core task will be to assist the manager to conduct survey successfully

Position 12: Site Renovation Engineer – Woldia

Position Summary

The Site Renovation Engineer, under the guidance and technical support of the Facility Renovation Engineer, the Site Engineer is principally responsible for follow up of timely execution of renovation activities in the area office.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management.
  • At least three years of experience in a similar position
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Active listening and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies
  • Prior experience in UASID Funded projects is an advantage
  • Knowledge of local language is an advantage.

Position 13: Infection Prevention and Control Advisor

Position Summary

The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Advisor will be responsible for overseeing technical interventions focused on strengthening the implementation of IPC and Anti-Microbial Resistance prevention and containment efforts. The advisor will also analyze the progresses of implementation of the IPC and treatment guidelines by health facilities, work with other stakeholders to develop area specific-resistance profile and guidance on empirical choices, and multimodal strategies to improve practices, and support the development of center of excellence sites. He will support multi sectoral engagement for AMR and Antimicrobial Resistance Stewardship related activities

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a health-related field (MD, Nursing, Pharmacy, and others) with specialized training and/or experience related to Global Health Security elements such as IPC, WASH, and AMS
  • At least 10 years of progressively increasing technical leadership in the area, preferably with a program of an equivalent size and scope is highly desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience of working along the health system – from community, primary health care units and referral hospitals
  • Experience of interacting with local governments, international organizations, other bilateral donor and civil society representatives, and senior level government officials is desired.
  • Speaking of more than one local language is a plus.

Position 14: Health Financing Advisor

Position Summary

The Health Financing Advisor will be responsible for overseeing technical activities focused on strengthening the health financing functions and systems to ensure universal health coverage of quality care through improvement in public financing management, implementation of healthcare reforms, and lead the demonstration and implementation of performance-based financing for quality improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree in public health, health economics and other related field (PhD preferred)
  • At least 10 years of progressively increasing technical leadership in the area, preferably with a program of an equivalent size and scope is highly desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience of working along the health system – from community, primary health care units and referral hospitals

Position 15: Health Facility Renovation Engineer

Position Summary

The Health Facility Renovation Engineer will serve as a primary contact person for renovation issues with donor, consultants, and government counterparts. S/he will provide guidance and technical support to site engineer responsible for day to day supervision of the actual work.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management.
  • At least ten years of experience in a similar position
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
  • Strong time management and project management skills

Position 16: Grant Manager

Job Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • MA or BA in accounting, business administration, financial management or other related social science fields from recognized university.
  • Minimum 6 years for MA and 8 years for BA in a related filed
  • Experience developing and managing a grants portfolio for donor-funded projects
  • Strong financial management skills and experience
  • Ability to write and speak English fluently
  • Computer knowledge (Word Processing, Spreadsheet and data management)
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel and work in the PHC project implementation regions (Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR, Sidama and Southwest Ethiopia)
  • Knowledge of various donor requirements and proven ability in grant reporting
  • Excellent networking and partnership building skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
