Position 1: Post-Harvest Manager
Job Requirement
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSC Degree or above in Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, Quality, or related field.
- Certification in Quality Management, Lean, or Kaizen is an advantage.
- Business Management or Administration training is desirable.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in managing processes and people — whether in horticulture, manufacturing, or other industries.
- Experience in horticulture or post-harvest management is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated success in meeting targets, maintaining quality, and leading teams.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), Amharic, and ideally Oromifa.
- Familiarity with Total Quality Management and certification standards (MPS, Code of Practice, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to manage data, analyse performance, and report accurately.
Term of Employment: Indefinite, subject to 60-day probation period
Salary: Negotiable, with attractive benefits
Direct Reports: Senior QA, Grading Supervisors, Harvest Supervisors
Location: Wolmera – Holeta Farm
