Position 1: Research Advisor
DUTES/TASKS
Managing research activities
- Designs quantitative and qualitative research studies in line with MSI Ethiopia’s programme information needs;
- Develops well budgeted and realistic research component for MSI Ethiopia’s concept notes and grant proposals;
- Monitors Research budget;
- Prepares data collection tools and train field data collectors, and monitor implementation of field research activities.
- Manages and supervises all consultants contracted to conduct research on behalf of MSI Ethiopia;
- Ensures data collected is entered using appropriate software packages, cleaned and analysed;
- Prepares bidding documents for research activities;
- Undertakes research activities and undertakes baseline surveys in the areas of new program intervention;
- Keeps relevant staff members abreast of new research by other organisations with relevance for MSI Ethiopia’s work.
- Prepares research findings for presentation at national and international conferences and for submission to peer reviewed journals and other publications.
- Liaises with external research collaborators (e.g. WHO, USAID etc.) on specific research protocols conducted in partnership with MSI Ethiopia.
Coordination for donor-funded projects
- Works with Grant Team to ensure that up-to-date Research Plans are in place for all donor-funded projects.
- Designs output indicators and manage research for all donor funded programs;
- Ensures all provider and client communications materials are pre-tested as per the any global standard tools and frameworks;
- Support in bringing organizational excellence through conducting pertinent researches;
- Provides the researched inputs during the development and review of MSI Ethiopia’s strategic plan, and annual business plans;
- Provides technical inputs on research during the development of project proposals;
- Proactively engage with SLT to flag or disseminate changes in service delivery trends following regular programme monitoring and data analysis;
- Work in close coordination with MIS Manager and other departments.
- Liaises proactively with Marie Stopes International Regional Research Office;
- Performs related tasks as required

Position 2: Roving MIS Officer
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
HMIS
- Provides technical assistance on data management and reporting to all MSIE staff for the assigned areas.
- Monitors data management of centers, outreach and social franchising activities against targets set by MSIE;
- Coordinates the smooth running of electronic client-based Management Information System (MIS);
- Provides technical assistance to all clinics related to the MIS, hardware operations and software systems.
- Manages the reporting and report distribution of monthly and quarterly reports and controls the data quality issue for the SRH/FP program of MSIE;
- Makes sure that all the program officers collect data on time
- Facilitates creation of enabling environment for data management and reporting for each level;
- Ensures the collection, compilation and sending quality data to the support office;
- Compiles and reports monthly and quarter data and report to the appropriate offices.
- Participates in program evaluations/assessments such as baseline and annual surveys, mid-term and final evaluations, and special studies and operations research.
- Ensure that spot check has been implemented in all channels at all levels and compile spot check trackers of the DV result.
- Conduct in-depth verification based on spot check results whenever required.
- Conduct routine data analysis and able to generate evidence from routine data
- Work with MIS unit and produce pivot table summary reports on monthly basis
- Provide end user support for proper use of data and report compilation
- Ensure data/information is collected, analyzed and reported to MSIE as per the corporate guidelines and requirements
- Able to work from area office to area office through roving and covers different area offices MIS and M&E need.
- Conduct on job and basic trainings on information use and MSIE data management
- Ensuring that all channels data privacy policy is implemented at all levels
- Organize and integrate the filed monitoring activities and able to generate progress reports of the field office
- Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation visits to the project areas and implement key improvements
- Perform other related activities as required or assigned by supervisor

Position 3: Receptionist Cashier
DUTIES/TASKS
- Receives and handles clients/visitors, provides appropriate information to enquiries and arranges appointments,
- Collects all clinic income with MSIE’s legal receipts,
- Maintains adequate security measures for the safe keep of cash and documents in her possession,
- Prepares, tabulates and submits monthly clients’ statistical data and income statement,
- Maintains all clients’ cards and records following standard rules and procedures of records control and filing system and ensures that they are up-to-date, orderly, properly filed and readily retrievable for reference and inspection.
- Handles all communications including making telephone calls and ensuring the receipts of messages.
- Handles petty-cash fund, the amount of which shall be stipulated by the organization’s financial policy, for payment of the clinic’s small expenses, maintains appropriate and adequate records of transactions effected.
