The organisation was founded in 1979, and sends teams of volunteer medical professionals and medical supplies to respond to disasters. It also works with partners on long-term health promotion initiatives.
Medical Teams International would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Nutrition Intern
About You
- BSC degree on Health, Nutrition, or related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and above.
- Only Female Candidates are preferred

KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Nutrition program
- Fluent spoken and written in Amharic and English.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Negotiation and representation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving Computer literate, able to work efficiently in Microsoft office on standard or mobile platforms.
SKILLS
- Humanitarian motivation
- Emotionally and spiritually mature
- Team player practical, desire to support the field teams.
- Willingness to pitch in and get the job done.
- Understanding and sensitivity to cross cultural issues
- Flexible and adaptable to ever changing environments.

- Integrity in representing Medical Teams Willing to travel to insecure environments
- A good command of both written and spoken English and Amharic

Location: Gonder Filed Office
Position 2: Nutrition Officer
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTFICATION
- BSC Degree in Nursing or Health Officer or Nutrition
- Training Certification on the update CMAM Management guideline
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years of experience working at a PHC. At least 1 year of experience managing nutrition programs in a humanitarian setting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of development & humanitarian issues and concepts
- Fluent spoken and written Amharic and English.
- Ability to speak and write in local language (Somali)
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Negotiation and representation skills
- Analytical and problem solving Computer literate, able to work efficiently in Microsoft office on standard or mobile platforms.
