Since its establishment, the Board has organized different branch offices at both the federal and regional levels including the two administrative cities. The NEBE has conducted five national elections, two local elections, and six referendums.
Since January 2019, in an effort to reform NEBE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that reduced the management board to five members that serve full time for a period of six years. According to Proclamation no.1133/2019, the board has the following powers and duties.
National Election Board of Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: HR Records and Liaison Officer
Education and Work Experience:
- Diploma or BA degree in HRM or Management or Business administration or Business management or Public administration and development management.
- 3 years for Diploma or 1 years for Bachelor
- In HR administration or record management and archives of liaison related job positions
- Human Resource concepts and application (employment related regulations, HR Policies, procedures, modern practices, approaches and trends)
- Knowledge of HR metrics
- Know how to perform analysis and interpretation of data
- Know how to keep records and manage them
- Ability to manage time
- Relationship building and communication
- Persuasion
Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa
Position 2: Logistics Expert
Education and Work Experience:
- MA or BA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance, Business management or related field.
- 5 years for Masters or 7 years for Degree relevant Experience.
Behavioural competencies:
- Adaptability/ flexibility,
- Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality and impartiality,
- Data protection/Sensitivity,
- Maintaining organizational etiquette, Integrity and Honesty,
- Operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment,
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, with an emphasis on high performance, teamwork, accountability, and results,
Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa
Position 3: Training Expert(Contract)
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor or Masters in Education, Election Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Pedagogy, Social work, Psychology, Law, Human Right, Project Management, Organizational Development or related disciplines.
- 7 years and Bachelor | 5 years in Masters. Working experience in Training and Development, Instructional Design, curriculum development, or Adult Education positions
Trainings and certification
- TOT, Election related training certificates, Project Management
Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa
