Position 1: Facility Maintenance Manager

About You

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: –Bachelor’s degree / Advanced diploma in facility management, Mechanical or Electrical engineering. In-depth knowledge in areas like electrical systems, water treatment systems, plumbing, and HVAC is crucial for this role, and can be acquired through vocational training or on-the-job experience.

EXPERIENCE: Min. of three years’ overall work experience in effective facility’s operation & maintenance as well as managing multi-discipline engineering workforce. A Facility Maintenance Manager should possess a range of technical, managerial and soft skills to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of a building or complex, such as:

• Strong knowledge of building operations and maintenance, including understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and landscaping.
• Experience with facilities management software to track work orders, maintain equipment history, and manage team schedules.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address any issues or disruptions in the facility.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors, contractors, and staff, as well as to negotiate contracts and manage disputes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with local and national standards.
• Physical ability to inspect and oversee all areas of the facility, including the ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and operate machinery if necessary.
