position: Finance Manager
Job Summary
Job Purpose
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial management, reporting, and compliance of financial operations in accordance with Ethiopian regulatory requirements and international standards. He/she will ensure financial integrity, effective budget monitoring, sound internal controls, and alignment with company policies and Ethiopian financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effectiveness and financial control
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Lead internal and external audit preparations and follow-up actions.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Oversee procurement payments, vendor disbursements, and payroll approvals.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and mitigate compliance gaps.
- Train and mentor junior financial staff and strengthen financial systems.
- Serve as key financial liaison with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business
- Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, preferably in manufacturing or import-export sectors.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations and taxation (IFRS familiarity preferred).
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Peachtree and other financial software (ERP)
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
