The Refugee and Returnee Service (RRS) is a governmental organization established to provide services to Refugees and Returnee. Currently our country hosts close to 1 million refugees coming from more than 19 countries. The refugees are hosted in 25 refugee camps across the six regional sates of the country and are receiving various basics and social service in collaboration with UN agencies, governmental, non-governmental organization and civil societies.

Refugees and Returnees Service  would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position: Refugee Registration Officer II

Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information System, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Management Information System and Software Engineering from a recognized University or College.

Experience at least Two years of experience in data encoding, registration, data management or in a related role.

Skills and Competencies:

Demonstrated knowledge of network systems, computer applications, security and protocols.

Familiarity with IT policies, registration procedures and best practices.

Considerations

Candidates with prior experience of working in RRS, UNHCR or IOM in a refugee context will be given priority.

Duty Station

The duty station will be in one of RRS’ operational locations, which include refugee centers under Branch Offices in Addis Ababa, Assosa, Gambella, Jigjiga, Melkadida, Semera and Gondar. There may be reassignment within the Service’s operations based on workload.

NB: All applicants must indicate your preferred exam location (Addis Ababa, Assosa, Gambella, Jigjiga, Melkadida, Semera, or Gondar) in your application letter.

People Required: 60

Duration: Four-month contract

Payment: Birr 1,746 (One Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Six Birr) Per Day, Paid Per Month

Scope: Qualified applicants from across Ethiopia are eligible to apply.

Through Ethio jobs, select the IT, Computer Science and Software Engineering category, which is mandatory to complete the process.

Application letter

CV (three page maximum)

Formal letter of experience

All educational credentials (Grade 8, 10 and 12 completion certificates plus your degree)

The PDF should be identified by your full name, whereas the educational credentials should be scanned in chronological order.

Applications that are incomplete (missed one of the above listed documents) or submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
