Currently SAMANU imports raw sunflower oil, mostly from Eastern Europe, and refines and packages it locally. With the new investment, it will construct a solvent extraction plant that will allow it to produce raw oil from locally-grown sunflowers.
SAMANU PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Customer Service Officer
Education Qualifications and Requirement
- First Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business Administration from recognized institutions
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, sales or marketing
Location: Kality, Dukem
Position 2: Shift Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: –
- BSc degree with chemical engineering, Food engineering /food since & technology, industrial chemistry and related file
Experience: – ·
- 2-5year on food manufacturing company
Location: Dukem
Position 3: Shift Mechanic
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- BSC in Mechanical Engineering 2 years related experience required.
- Diploma in manufacturing technology and general mechanics, 4 years related experience required.
- Experience within the food, vegetable oil and beverage industry preferred.
- Attain and maintain required certifications.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including night shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Effectively work in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent repairs
Location: Dukem
Position 4: Shift Electrician
Qualifications & Experience ·
- Education: Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, EMDI or equivalent qualification. ·
Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician in a continuous-process manufacturing environment (preferably in vegetable oil refining, edible oil processing, solvent extraction plants, food processing, or petrochemical/refinery sectors). ·
- Proven experience working on high- and low-voltage systems, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial utilities (boilers, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, generators). Technical Skills & Knowledge ·
- Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems, motor controls (star-delta, DOL, VFDs), instrumentation loops, and industrial automation. ·
- Familiarity with hazardous area classifications (e.g., Ex-rated equipment) and solvent-handling environments. ·
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics, control drawings, and P&IDs. ·
- Experience with preventive maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, and diesel generators. ·
- Basic understanding of PLCs, SCADA, and control systems (troubleshooting preferred). ·
- Competence in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
Location: Dukem
Position 5: Senior Electrician
QUALIFICATIONS: – ·
- BSC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering – 3 years related experience required. ·
- Advanced Diploma in electrical machine drives and automation. 5 years related experience required.
- Experience within the food edible oil and beverage industries preferred.
- Attain and maintain required certifications.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays, when needed
- Effectively work in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent repairs.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks)
