Position 1: IT Assistant
Location: Addis Ababa
Job Summary:
The position holder is responsible for working with the Senior IT Specialist and performing the tasks required in support of TechnoServe IT Systems and Technology, providing help to install, configure and maintain the organization’s network, hardware and software applications as and when required, providing general support for the organization’s computer users.
The Position is primarily focused on working the areas of computer operations, computer networks, giving support (hardware and software) to the users, and performing a variety of information technology supporting tasks to ensure the smooth delivery of technology services to TechnoServe.
Educational background
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Or Two (2) years of progressive technical experience in a similar organization.
- Hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT systems and technologies.
- Windows 10/11 technical experience
- Technologies include Okta, Google Workspace, VC systems, NAS, MDM etc.
- Basic understanding of IT security & privacy. Cynet 360, SSO, GDPR, malware & email phishing etc.
- Problem solving and customer service skill

Position 2: Finance Officer
Location: Addis Ababa
Job Summary:
The Finance Officer is responsible to provide finance and accounting services to project and program managers with a moderate support by the controller. This position will be responsible for performing highly specialized accounting and finances tasks. The Finance Officer may have direct contact with project managers and TNS vendors which require moderate interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
The position holder may be required to meet tight deadlines and a gathering of accounting activities including general journal/ledger preparation, daily submission and posting of accounting data to the accounting system, assist completion of time entry for Ethiopia proxy group in Databasics and assist in the year end pre-audit review process.
Job Requirements:
BA Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
3+ years’ experience in accounting, preferably with an international NGO.
Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and
International Public Sector Accounting Standards
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Proficiency in English (written/spoken).
