Position: Intern – Macroeconomic Analysis, Institutions and Economic Governance Section (MIGS) / MGD
Education Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be a student in the final year of their first university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Be enrolled in a Master’s degree programme.
- Be enrolled in a Ph.D. programme or equivalent.
- Have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programme.
Applicants who meet any of the above criteria must indicate which criterion they meet and attach proof to the application. An official certificate will be required at a later stage.
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, applicants must have a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship for which they are applying.
Technical Skills
Applicants should have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially:
- MS Word
- MS PowerPoint
- MS Excel
- MS Teams
The intern is expected to:
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the United Nations Charter.
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals from different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, including a willingness to understand and tolerate differing opinions and views.
