World Vision Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: SPIR II Lead Community Health Facilitator

Required Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of prior experience in Health and Nutrition programs, with a focus on rural development. Out of those five years, at least three years should have been dedicated to a supervisory or equivalent position is required.
  • Demonstrated technical leader in Ethiopia’s health and nutrition field with an established reputation for contributions in relevant forums, networks, and among USAID and its partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • BSC in Public Health/Nutrition/Nursing/Health Officer with five and more years of experience in a rural setting.
  • Desired NGO experience, Motorbike driving license

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Knowledge of community-based health interventions, including Health and Nutrition, dialogue-based counseling techniques, Nurturing Care groups, and community participatory nutrition promotion to address nutrition during the first 1000 days is strongly preferred.

 Excellent report-writing skills

  • Ability to communicate and write clearly in English and the local language of the operation area (Afan Oromo) is mandatory
  • Travel and Work Environment Requirement

Work at Woreda level with frequent travel to Kebele/Community 

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Local Language (Afan Oromo)

Position 2: Mobile Community Health Facilitator

Required Knowledge Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of more than five years of working experience in Health and Nutrition programs in a rural development context, two years of which were in an NGO setting or equivalent work.
  • SBC session facilitation skills; and awareness/experience in counseling people with depression
  • Can train and coach/Mentor a large number of HDALs
  • Experience in conducting   quality field-level data collection
  • Well aware of the community health care system, especially PHCU and referral linkage.
  • Knowledge of the local language (Afan Oromo/Amharic) and understanding of written and spoken English languages;
  • Ability to work in teamwork with people of different educational and cultural backgrounds;
  • Demonstrates respect for the local culture, traditions, and values;

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Public Health or nursing degree with 1-2 years’ experience in a rural setting
  • Diploma in Clinical Nursing / Comprehensive Nursing, with 3-5-year experience in a rural setting
  • Certificate in health extension worker with more than 5-7 years of experience in a rural setting
  • Desired NGO experience, Motorbike license is an advantageous

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Knowledge of community-based health interventions, including NCG Community based Participatory Nutrition Promotion, Care Groups, IPT-G & GPM+, dialogue-based counseling techniques to address nutrition during the 1000+ window, and positive deviance approach to improve complementary feeding are strongly preferred.

Travel and Work Environment Requirement:

Work in Boke or Habro Kebeble level setting with HEWs at the Health post mobile from Zonal office

Language Requirements:

 Fluent in Local Language (Amharic /Affan Oromo)

Position 3: Warehouse and Distribution Manager

Required Professional Experience:

  • BA/MA Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or Business Administration or Finance and/or any related relevant field; technical qualification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse operations management out of which two (2) years of experience in people management/managerial.
  • Substantial knowledge of warehouse operations and country legislative framework at all levels.
  • Ability to form and maintain solid relationships with wide range of different stakeholders, partners, co-workers.
  • Evidence of high level written and spoken English language abilities.
  • Ability to speak local language.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook or similar database, email and internet programs. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

Position 4: Supply Chain Administrator

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • BA in Procurement and Supplies Management, Business Administration, related field

Required Professional Experience:

  • 3 Years 
  • Working knowledge of NGO operations and practices is an added advantage

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills in Excel & Word
  • Demonstrated ability in support services supervision
  • Working knowledge of NGO operations and practices is an added advantage.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public.

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Field Based with 30% travel
