Position 1: Emergency WASH Officer /Health
Major Responsibilities:
- Select and verify beneficiaries as per the selection criteria to reach the most vulnerable groups of the community either in IDPs or host communities.
- Closely follow and take actions to distribute purchased ESNFIs/NFIs and other items on time and make sure items are not stored for more than a week in warehouse.
- Conduct close field supervision to ensure most cost effective and most efficient implementation of the hygiene promotion and other related works in line with the plan, available standards, community needs and donors requirement
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual progress reports as requested
- Make regular contacts and hold discussions with government officials at Woreda and Kebelle levels and also with beneficiaries to create smooth relationships, mutual understanding and support in the area of emergency WASH activities.
- Facilitate handing over of completed sanitation and hygiene activities by the project to the beneficiaries in consultation with the concerned government offices and cluster representatives and ensure proper documentations for future reference
- Provide timely updates and narrative reports and feedback on the progress of the hygiene promotion activities, challenges and concerns encountered to the Project Coordinator and others as requested in writing and follow up action points
- Facilitate payments for volunteers, trainees and trainers
- Supervise, oversee and guide the day to day activities of the hygiene promotion activities in the project target Woredas
- Prepare and review agreements, if any, that need to be signed with beneficiaries or other parties in accordance with the guidelines/policy of the organization;
- Review DIP of the project and make necessary adjustments when needed in consultation with the Zonal Team Leader/AP/project manager
Job Requirements
Required Professional Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in hygiene, sanitation or related fields
- NGO experience and the area of shelter construction
- Experience in using word, excel and other computer skills is an asset
- Experience in donner funded projects is an advantage
- Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- BA/BSC Degree in any Health Science fields of studies.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Experience on Community Engagement and Cooperation
- Experience with emergency WASH activities
- Full computer and Internet skills including MS Office for word processing, ACCESS or other databases and in database design, graphic presentation and financial spreadsheet programs,
- Fluent in oral and written English and Tigrigna languages.

Position 2: Driver Mechanic
Major Responsibility:
- Deliver full range transport service for organization use to ensure safe, reliable fleet to help in work on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
- Observe prescribed work, safety rules and respond to service calls.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs / service: Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotate and change tires; change oil and filters; grease vehicle parts; inspect and replace bulbs, and Top up all fluid levels
- Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance in adherence to FM policy
- Inspect vehicles regularly, evaluate condition of systems, equipment, accessories, and light and reports any mechanical problems of vehicle to supervisor for repair /parts replacement and keep vehicle accessories counted, logo intact, functional safety tools kits and equipment.
- Maintain buses, vans, cars and work area clean, fueled and in good condition at all times
- Maintain log books and fuel consumption records on a regular basis, Take cautious measures on keeping original keys, tools, reserve tires/rims and communicate officially when needed.
- Consistently monitor vehicle performance , submit maintenance request or advice timely and follow-up accomplishments
- Prepare monthly vehicle usage report and submit timely
Knowledge/Qualifications for the role:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Experience: Minimum of two years of related work.

- Skill in routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Able to carry out limited, un-supervised tasks.

- 12th or 10+2, TVET Diploma , 3rd grade valid driving license /Auto/

Position 3: CP GBV Protection Officer
Major Responsibility:
- Leads the targeting, implementation and monitoring activities related to the protection project by maintaining the standards as per the approved project documents. Ensures proper data recording and reporting system are in place. Monitor and follow up the effective implementation of the planned activities in targeted woredas. Prepares progress reports, periodic updates and analyses, by compiling and analyzing data.
- Undertakes regular field visits to assess the local conditions and monitor progress to ensure that progress is made to attain the project objective.
- Works with in coordination with local actors and other partners. Collect information; identify problems and constraints in order to ensure effective project delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate projects in the response sectors in partnership with civil society and government actors
- Implements Monitors, analyses and evaluates project results to ensure achievement of objectives and take corrective action when necessary.
- Implements project activities by maintaining standards, guidelines and good practices in protection in emergency.
- Participate in zonal meetings with relevant coordination forums, local authorities, other actors and donors to discuss and represent WVE’s work
Knowledge/Qualifications for the role:
- University degree in psychology, Sociology and related social fields. Experience and prior exposure to emergency response context is a requirement. Experience in implementing child protection activities in emergency responses is required. Knowledge and experience in application of international technical guidelines and standards in response projects coordination is preferred
Additional work experience required as a minimum qualification for this position.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement protection interventions is required Awareness of emergency responses and interest to work in fragile context Experience and ability to work, communicate with partners and stakeholders in different context.
License, registration, or certification required to perform this position:
- Effective in written and verbal communication in English and knowledge of local language has added value.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 3 years of work experience in emergency responses out of which at least 1 year in child protection related responses in emergency; preferably leading targeting, implementing project activities, Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning and Reporting, documentation, DME, data analysis or related position.
- Technical Training qualifications required: Facilitation skill, Participatory M&E, Participatory Rural Appraisal, etc.

Position 4: Project Coordinator
Major Responsibility:
- Lead the operation of the projects such as leading beneficiary targeting, selection, and verification process, digital registration using (LMMS). And Follow the community messages are transferred to clients, local government partners, vendors, non-clients and other key actor including Market monitoring and Price data collection and analysis.
- Coordinate proper implementation of MPCA project in collaboration with the different stakeholders and other member agencies in the project areas
- Ensure all on spot monitoring (OSM), beneficiary feedback, post distribution monitoring activities are fully documented, including systematic and timely data collection as required.
- Capacitate the community facilitators, staffs under his/her supervision, and others (if any) on MPCA. – Support and mentor the FSP to meet the humanitarian principles during MPCA/facilitating the payment to the beneficiaries.
- Produce/give to WV and donor reports as per set schedules (monthly, quarterly and annually) on grant activities, indicators and achievements
Knowledge/Qualifications for the role:
- Experience in implementation of Cash in sectoral interventions (Food, shelter, NFIs, and others)
- Humanitarian field experience with substantial exposure to aid agencies’ commodity and aid assistance business processes under chronic and rapid emergency contexts.
- At least three 3 years’ experience in a proven cash and voucher based program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Working with FSPs, and private sectors. o Operational o Strategic / Managerial
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
- University Degree Agri-Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Rural Development, Banking, project Management.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in cash transfer or cash voucher related program, Livelihoods program, and grant management.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Ability to provide support, training and coaching to staff, FSP and
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders

Major Responsibility:
- Ensure appropriate decommissioning of the existing infrastructure like latrines, temporary shelters and solid waste disposal.
- Ensure proper relocation of the IDPs to newly assigned shelters or House rent and make sure logistic support given to the IDPs during relocation.
- implement site closure strategies and ensure rehabilitation of areas formerly occupied by camps or collective centers.

- Experience: 2 years for MSC or 4 years for BSc on relevant project/program experience of WASH in an international NGO or similar organization.
- Solid experience in WASH Project Design, supervision, analysis and report writes up, Experience in WASH Cluster engagement has an added value, Experience in international NGO’s and other UN organizations
- Experience in using Auto cad, water cad, word, excel and other computer skills is mandatory
- Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Relevant trainings and capacity built on Humanitarian Accountability Principles, Sphere, WHO water quality guideline, PSEA, Accountability to Affected people, project Management and Grants report writing.
